I would MUCH rather take my chances with Milton than Dalton

He might not have the accuracy, touch, timing or anticipation needed…but he can at least sling it off PA. If we were talking Dalton of a few years ago, not the current 38 yo who can barely throw the ball 10 yards it would be a different story. A long long time ago…Dalton was actually a pretty darn goodish to semi above average QB on a Marvin Lewis led ish show.

Good news is hard to come by nowadays, so we'll take what we can get.

Just thought I'd share a little bit of my latest journey in life. I'm an alcoholic. Have been for the past 20+ years, and probably my whole life if I think about it.

That said, I'm currently sitting in a shuttle van heading to an AA meeting in Springfield, IL. I've been in a treatment facility since 28 August.

After 8 years, 2 months, and 4 days of sobriety, I relapsed earlier this summer. And when I say relapsed, I mean relapsed HARD. Almost a week-long bender, time I can barely remember that I'll never get back.

I've learned a lot about myself over the past 53 days, and I'm rejuvenated and eager to resume my recovery.

I'm not sure why I felt the need to share this. I guess I just want to pat myself on the back, figuratively. But I also want to say if anyone here is struggling with substance abuse, or just struggling with life in general, there's always hope. Don't give up.

Also, I'm on here quite often, so if any of you ever feel like chatting about addiction--or really anything at all--don't hesitate to hit me up.

That's all--GO BIRDS

Being better than the day before is always the goal! Keep at it…God bless!

No need for a roster spot until they acquired Milton today.

Shipley may not need IR

Shipley is a JAG

Don't ask me why. I think we get 2024 version Tanner Brady Sunday. And I will become an HE groupie and bow down to him afterwards. He will at last know how it feels to be on the right side of the coin. Go Birdz!

Don’t see how this is preservation mode…pointing to a detailed statement, including precise medical terms vs answering a question off the cuff is bad?

Answering off the cuff. Yes I'm sure he was completely caught off guard by getting a question about it.

Why does it have to be about race? This would be more accurate. Backward hat wearing, 6'6" QB who can process a defense quickly and get the ball out to his playmakers.

The only worries I have Sunday is can Brady still be standing by the end of the game? And will Sirianni brain fart again? We have a propensity for mid game injuries this year that eff up the game on the spot.

Did he have notes in front of him? Do you know the intricacies of managing an operation at that level? How delegation and span of control works? Dudes preparing the team and coaches for a game in a few days…and a short notice starting QB switch. Of course he’s not going to have the time to try to rehearse an answer, then try to regurgitate the statement at the risk of mis-speaking and causing a huge problem.

Yeah totally. No way the billion dollar organization with an entire PR staff didn't connect with Sirianni prior to his PC.

So the answer to all my questions is no…you don’t understand that people at that level typically don’t speak to specifics on stuff not in their wheel house. THat’s what billion dollar organizations have people on staff to do…like the prepared statement. It’s almost like they spend a ridiculous amount of money on experts for a reason. Siri is there to coach…to whatever level he’s capable of.

You will have to excuse him. He apparently believes Jalen Hurts will end up with an ownership stake in the Eagles due to their handling of this situation. He seems to be a little bit special.

This is the type of thing that could necessitate a PC from the athletic trainer if the media has enough questions. You see that in some rare occasions.

Don't need a coach trying to expound on complex medical issues.

I’m an Alcoholic too. Didn’t affect me until April 2025, when I had a mini-stroke. I’ve drastically reduced the amount of alcohol I consume. But still relapse frequently. Been to 3 different treatment centers to figure this ish out. Going to a fourth one in November, up in Long Island, NY.

I’m also depressed, bi-polar, sad, hopeless, and have severe anxiety, so I basically have Co-Occurring disorders. It’s awful. An effing mess.

Work hard to get through it. That’s all we can do. 🏄🌵🦅

Parker is gonna be a one year coach for Dallas, that bridge is already burned. He'll be back in Philly next year.

Get him, Kellen, and Jeff

Wonder if Tanner McKee gets to ring the bell tonight at the 6ers last pre-season game.

I think they are being deliberate about not talking about it publicly this soon since I'm sure there are other conversations going behind the scenes with the league and the NFLPA about the whole situation. I have no doubt Bob Lange prepped Nick to not answer anything and refer to the team statement. I do think there is a bit of preservation mode going on to not make anything worse by saying something they shouldn't.

Hopefully, Tanner Brady can Case Keenum the Panthers this Sunday. 👍😊

Nah everyone in the billion dollar organization needs to be able to speak eloquently about every single part of the operation. Siri is going to explain how the exact fertilization and maintenance routine the grounds crew does on the field next.
