I dont think so. He still has plenty of burst.

Hes just back to being the guy he was in NY when he didnt have the all world OL in front of him.

Good point. We don't have that anymore so he's not able to benefit from it. So it's we're getting Giants version of Barkley

Jurgens was ruled out again for Baltimore. Yeesh.

And that’s for Jaire Alexander!!

Naw i hope Jurgens is ok. Missing two weeks for a concussion is very worrisome

Honestly, I'm ready for a let down game. I've said this before, I like Tanner a lot because he does the three things I want from a QB in terms of raw skills:

  • Process the field

  • Throw on time

  • Throw with anticipation

However, I think him getting nearly no reps as a backup and thus having almost no reps on a new offense just isn't going to cut it. I think if his performance is excellent, it's actually extremely impressive, especially if it turns out to be tape resilient (Meaning it survives being acquired on film). But I would honestly be shocked if his performance is good with anything less than 2 games, especially with our running game being pretty trash.

I doubt he’s just in street clothes holding a clipboard everyday. He’ll be alright. Can’t be any worse than throwing for 10 yards in one half.

So do we like Tata’s Tanner or mommy milkers McKee?

Don't let Jalen Carter get one of these

Barkley is closing in on 30. I’d happily ship him off if he comes back healthy enough to entice a contender (Denver? Minnesota?) to trade a premium pick for him.

We just don't have the team to complement what he does well. We need tough yards and a RB to pass block like a machine because defenses are going to blitz us to death until we figure it out.

CAR isn't great against the run and is down both starting CBs, so if we can produce just enough run threat so they can't light box it... maybe good Tanner can dissolve the blitz with quick Smitty/Lemon wins on their nobodies.

Checking in on how things are going for other teams

Yeah I think we're cooked for this game fellas. McKee in brand new offense with minimal reps on the week after minimal reps on the season, and not being a 7 year veteran, has to out-duel an offense currently ranked 4th in points with no running game and no experience?

We're in deep crap...

McKee has always struck me as an extremely bright person, even in his pre-draft interviews on radio. I have little doubt he knows the offensive scheme; he simply needs to perform.

He may not have enough healthy weapons to succeed, but I don't think he'll fail based on a lack of preparation or talent. He needs to focus on using the guys he does have, getting the ball out quickly, and letting them do the rest. That's all he can do.

I wish we could do that for a few Eagles this season. Riq, Nolan, Saquon, Steen, etc….. pipe dream though. 😬🤓

We're keeping that 2nd rd pick. They can suck it

Hopefully, he has cleaned up his mechanics. But he should be able to read the hot route. They are going to blitz him like a dog. The one on Bell's side is working every time.

I'd keep him. Get him an oline to run behind. He still has some left in the tank

Obviously DeVonta is in full on legal preservation mode.

Fingers crossed he's back this week

So I've been wondering now does Mannion come out of the booth and back down to the field this week

If you think about it for a sec it would be easier for them to talk and be able to review plays on the sidelines

Did the PR department coach him and give him a script on how to answer that question?

I have more faith in the run game gaining some yardage with them. Its not going to go from nothing to home runs. Its going to need to go from nothing to 2-3 yards first. Barkley wont get you 2-3 with his style, but guys like Pierce and Steele will.

Virtually no film on most of the offense this coming Sunday. That might be because there ain't much to see but I guess we'll find out.

Sorry last one roll

Why does it have to be about race? This would be more accurate. Backward hat wearing, 6'6" QB who can process a defense quickly and get the ball out to his playmakers.

We hope.

Happy tell a Cowboys fan we have flying cars before your team made the SB again day

Backup bounce vs coming off an international game and a team coming off a bye… 👀

Odds and circumstances at an all time high!

Eagles: 20

Panthers: 13

Bonus: Brady McKee 2 TD passes

Getting Smith back would be great but Cooper and Wicks have stepped up

This game smells like a total beat down for our Iggles.

OR, a surprise last second FG win. 🙏🥸🏈🦅
