Saturday at 08:45 PM1 day This version of Dameon Pierce is the worst runner I’ve seen. Even worse than Pumphrey.

Superficial clot usually requires no anticoagulation and no missed time. But something obviously progressed on the ultrasound. But, key word, they said superficial even then. So likely the clot burden was worse on the second scan. After asking just about every hematologist in the area, they decided to anticoagulate. 45 days is typical course. He'll almost certainly be back at that point. He will be ready to return from the anticoagulant. However, I don’t necessarily think they’ll bring him back depending on what the record is. They have six games between now and 45 days from now. If they go 1-5 or 0-6, I can’t see them bringing him back for a 3-8 or 2-9 team. Even if they go 2-4, means they’d be 4-7 with cardinals, colts, Seahawks, Texans, niners and giants on the schedule. Essentially have to go 5-1 to get to 9-8. They probably would have some tiebreakers over that stretch that would kick in and likely hurt us. So I’m guessing to win the NFC East they would have to at least win nine games. At that point, I can see them saying just gonna sit him for the rest of the year, especially if they make trades at the deadline indicating them thinking about the future.
Saturday at 08:49 PM1 day The numbers game on the roster undoubtedly helped the Hurts IR decision-hope its not a full season that he's out.Does give some clarification for McKee on how long he will be playing, and somewhat settle into the role.

If Howie wants to put on the season and stockpile draft assets without getting Hurts killed out there, that's a separate variable that could factor in.

Carolina has a mediocre defense. Dallas has an awful defense. The commanders have a bad defense. And the Giants are ok, but not great. Then Pittsburgh and then Dallas again.

Because they’re 45 days out from when he could play. They’re gonna have 6 games over that time. There’s a realistic chance if they only win one or zero, then no reason to bring him back at that point. Hed be healthy but why even risk another injury with a month left of the season when you’re not going anywhere and you’ve already indicated at that point that you’re trying to get more draft capital and higher draft capital.I would say conversely if by chance the Eagles do wind up winning 5-6 of those games and the offense actually looks good, I’m not sure you can pull the McKee at that point. So you’re either bringing him back to be the backup or he’s just not gonna play for the rest of the year.

I want to see McKee play to his strengths — stand in the pocket, get the ball out to his weapons, and see some consistency in putting drives together. Help out the OL by making quick decisions and be decisive with the football. Help the defense by sustaining more drives. Holding the ball too long will lead to bad outcomes. If we see the same lack of second half offense we can start to question the scheme with more objectivity. The game on Sunday is like Schrodinger’s cat right now. The Eagles might score 0-3 points and be totally inept, we might see more consistency and score 24-27 points, or the likely in-between outcome. Hard to know at this moment.McKee certainly has all the motivation in the world to show well and earn a contract somewhere next year. Whether he has the ability is the question.I'd like to see the Eagles play like Penn State handled their first series. A nice mix of short to medium passes and runs. They were moving the ball against a good Michigan defense and ate 9 minutes.

Saturday at 09:07 PM1 day Colts brought back Rivers last year. Another injury or 2, let’s see what good ole Saint Big D!ck Nick is up to.
Saturday at 09:09 PM1 day This psu/mich game is terrible but the psu safety just made one helluva one handed interception

Never turn down a chance to shine
Saturday at 09:20 PM1 day Wait what, Jalen Hurts is on IR? This can't be true since @eagle45 told us all that blood clots are just like having a sprained ankle and not even a remotely big deal.

Never turn down a chance to shineI would add to that, he’s kind of playing in a system that he kinda needs to be in going forward. He is not a guy who’s gonna beat you with his legs. Or a dual threat. He needs to play with anticipation. And really that’s what this offense is supposed to be. So if he plays well, he has a chance to go to a team with this system and make himself a nice payday. As for the Eagles, we’ve seen times where backups were like Mike McMahon. But they’ve also had a good deal of success with their backup quarterbacks. Like Jeff Garcia, like Nick Foles, like Detmer/aj feely

He’s a 4th year pro and if he doesn’t perform well it’d be hard to imagine him getting another shot.
Saturday at 09:28 PM1 day Conspiracy theory: I’m not doubting Hurts is really injured but they’re bring "extra cautious” because they wanna see what they’ve got with McKee.
Saturday at 09:29 PM1 day Tocchet might be coaching for his job tonight. A loss tonight would make it a 10-game losing streak and 14 straight losses going back to the playoffs against CAR.At some point something has to give before Brière is on the hook. Honestly, I think they should both be fired.

In a rematch I think Indiana takes it.What game were you watching? IU couldn’t move the ball and had it not been for a turnover, that game is 19-8.. buckeyes had dudes open all over the field, just didn’t capitalize..
