You don’t understand what he has. A superficial blood clot is not even remotely career threatening.

It registers at about the same level as an ankle sprain on the medical Richter scale.

So you don't think they should do the morally right thing and give him a lifetime contract?

I am surprised Lurie hasn’t signed over 51% of the Eagles to him yet. Then Jalen can give himself his own contract. It is the only morally right thing to do.

I haven't really read too much about the Josh Jacobs case, but it's pretty crazy he's still not playing considering the NFL's previous suspensions for players with similar infractions

"The ultimate decision about when Hurts returns to play will come from his medical team, and the Eagles are ready to follow his lead. There is still a chance Hurts eventually ends up on IR, if that is the direction the medical information leads them.”

It seems silly to not just do IR now. He would be eligible to come back after the bye week, if you delay this and then have to put him on IR, then his season is probably over.

I am not his biggest fan, but it just makes no sense to me to delay it.

They can only bring back a limited number from IR. With as many injuries as they have had already, I think anyone that might make it back in 4 or even 5 weeks should stay off IR if we can manage the roster that way.

Who's on IR that they really should be bringing back anyway?

Let’s say McKee wins 3-4 straight games while looking above average to good (not a world beater). Hurts is ready to come back right after the bye. What do they do?

27-2 is the standard for him to be replaced. Anything short of that the job is Hurts’.

This has to be trolling. Most insane take I've ever read.

No you just don’t understand how billion dollar organizations work.

The season isn’t in the pooper yet. So many variables and unknowns with Hurts and his timeline for return. He could be back next week…could be out all season. Howie and Co are walking the tight rope of the snow balls chance in hell that things turn around. The chances of McKee having a 2013 Foles type run are astronomically low…Hurts at the end of the day, whether you love him, hate him or are just real about who he is, is the best QB as is on the roster.

The bottom line is no team — unless it is tanking or trying to use health as an excuse to move on from its QB — will IR its starting QB if there’s a chance he will return earlier than 4 games.

You know what they do

It actually can be if he is required to go on blood thinning meds for the remainder of his life. It has happened and ended others careers.

HOWEVER, in no way does that mean the FO needs to honor his remaining contact in any way. I'm sure if the team or league did anything wrong then Jalen and his attorney's can take action receive a settlement. RTK is just a troll and trying to get anyone to argue with him.

Can you trade a player on IR? Perhaps this is all a sham to see how McKee is with the team and if he improves this offense they trade Hurts?

Yes its a joke, have to say that or dopes like RTK will actually take it serious

They probably believe he'll be fine in a week or two, otherwise what's the harm in putting him on IR and bringing him back after the bye?

If McKee looks any better then Hurts in the next few games- Hurts requests to come back the next week

if McKee struggles- Hurts takes his time hoping people will miss him

Have Hurts start if he’s just looking above average. If he’s playing 2013 Foles good when he replaced an injured Mike Vick then that’s a different discussion

They have to keep Milton on the roster for 3 consecutive weeks, so I suspect Jalen comes back after 3 weeks and Milton is cut. Other possibility is after 3 weeks if Jalen isn't ready he goes on IR then.

You're as ignorant as Michael Robinson.

You dont go on anticoagulation for the remainder of your life for superficial thrombophlebitis.

A sinus infection can also erode through the inner table of the skull and cause a fatal meningitis. It doesn't make a sinus infection scary.

This is really common, really safe...just not common in athletes. It was handled appropriately. It's going to be fine.

Blind test? 🤷‍♂️

Odd strategy

Which is odd, as anyone who seems to actually engage with him he seems to not respond to.

Injuries or not, if we actually start losing a ton, Sirianni’s welcome is gonna run out fast.

You just never fail to provide this board with complete and total stupidity on a regular basis. An ankle sprain is a 2-3 week injury. A blood clot could be 2-3 weeks or it could be several months. If they have to put him on blood thinners he will not be able to play football for months because taking a regular hit while on blood thinners could lead to internal bleeding at an incredible rate and DEATH. But yeah, it's the same as an ankle sprain.
