"The ultimate decision about when Hurts returns to play will come from his medical team, and the Eagles are ready to follow his lead. There is still a chance Hurts eventually ends up on IR, if that is the direction the medical information leads them.”

Hurts has his own medical team who will make the final decision? Hmmmmm

You just never fail to provide this board with complete and total stupidity on a regular basis. An ankle sprain is a 2-3 week injury. A blood clot could be 2-3 weeks or it could be several months. If they have to put him on blood thinners he will not be able to play football for months because taking a regular hit while on blood thinners could lead to internal bleeding at an incredible rate and DEATH. But yeah, it's the same as an ankle sprain.

It's obvious, but statistically, we are a top-ten team in the first half. And the very worst team in the league in the second half.

You haven’t heard? Hurts will be the majority owner of the Eagles by the end of this debacle. He owns the Eagles medical team.

Yeah this is a potentially career threatening medical issue.

You dont go on anticoagulation for the remainder of your life for superficial thrombophlebitis.

A sinus infection can also erode through the inner table of the skull and cause a fatal meningitis. It doesn't make a sinus infection scary.

This is really common, really safe...just not common in athletes. It was handled appropriately. It's going to be fine.

Handled so well they took him on two 8 hour flights and now it has moved which opens the door for it becoming far more serious.

Jalen Hurts is truly 1 of 1. Only athlete who has ever flown with a superficial blood clot.

The flight debate is a reasonable one. Playing with it...really fine. "it moved" isn't a medical term and is what they released publicly. More specifics necessary to know what the second ultrasound actually showed and if becoming more serious is actually a realistic possibility.

No it's not.

Their 1st qtrs are almost as equally as bad as the 2nd halves…which makes this either impressive or a bogus stat. IIRC they spent most of 2024 scoring pretty much exclusively in the 2nd qtr too. Super Bowl still on.

so the Eagles should have done the responsible thing and left Hurts in London?

Don't be ridiculous. They should have rented a cruise ship and sailed him back.

It obviously has become more serious since now Jalen is out indefinitely where as prior he was playing with it

Yes it absolutely is

Not all blood clots are created equal.

It’s a superficial thrombophlebitis. It only becomes more serious if it evolves into DVT, which is a very low chance when you have a medical team monitoring you.

Superficial thrombophlebitis has no plausible possibility of being career threatening in his situation because They caught it very fast, despite what social media is trying to warp your opinion into believing. There still is a possibility he misses the season, but I’d venture the Cowboys Monday nighter 2 weeks from now will tell us a lot. If he isn’t up for that game then he’s probably out through the bye (week 10).

I don't think any of us know crap....neither do his doctors.....nor do the Eagles. That's why he isn't on IR. In a week, two weeks, or next month they will, and then we will. All speculation until then.

If the bottom falls out and this season continues to get ugly, we might need to learn to speak Jeremiah Smith and embrace the tank.

arch suuuucks lolololo

ESP earlier on WIP:

"Even if the Eagles lose the next 3 and fall to 2-6, as long as Nick and Jalen are here you can't give up on this season. You have to be buyers at the trade deadline."

Arch Manning is going to be a bust

Tbh there’s a chance the titans don’t win more than a game. Kind of think we’d have to lose out ti finish top 3. Even being bad we likely be 6-11 so probably top 10. Not sure Howie would be willing to pay that price to get him especially with what could be uncertainty at Qb past 2027

He may be, but I still hope Howie takes a chance on him. Just not in the 1st round.
