I wonder if the Texans will even bother trying to score more points in the second half. Clearly Stroud has already done enough to win.

I was reflecting on this earlier. The match is being played at the Stade de France, in St Denis, a migrant heavy area of Paris. And most migrant areas of Paris generally riot more than not.

That said, I assume Macron will realise the implications of moving the match, so it will be secure and the issues should go for week or two.

No live shots outside the stadium. It should have been moved. The players will probably have lots of security but regular people will be on their own getting there. Good luck.

For many of us, cheering for the eagles includes hoping for a good QB. Still thrilled when they win with Hurts, but still want better play at that position. Frustrated by "meat on the bone". Frustrated by every week, every win feeling so tumultuous because the QB is so inconsistent and we cant just win easy like the rest of the roster should be able to. In that context, frustrated by him holding the team back yes, Im aware they have won a super bowl with him).

For the other side, Hurts went out and they started rooting for the team to lose immediately. Not even actual eagles fans.

Hurts put the team in a position to win that last week. No, he didn’t have a good game but he played well enough to win.

Many teams would kill to have a QB that could make a 5 year run like Hurts just did.

The Hurts disrespect may be worse than it was for McNabb 20 years ago.

the critiques on both qbs are valid.

Kendall is playing.

Hollywood Brown is a healthy scratch. Might not be on the team for long.

yeah and it shows lol. no one talks about how much kelce handled at the line.

Hurts took a while in 24 to get it down…but he improved leaps and bounds over the course of the season. KM and Stout married concepts as well. Since then we’ve seen philosophies that involve non stop condensed sets. Which should in theory help however…

25, Patullo couldn’t get a play call out in time. Hurts had zero time to come to the line and do anything but set initial protections, set the O and send it.

This year, we have sub par OL play coupled with a new scheme that makes zero sense. There’s miscommunication all over, missed assignments. Most of that I’m going to put on coaching. The OL has been winning 1 on 1 at a decent rate. The problem is against the blitz nobody knows what to do. Kind of hard to even say there’s a hot read/route or not when there’s more than 1 free rusher.

I just fused 2 convos on my response. Poop

Hurts should be able to mitigate some of this. the fact that they dont have him doing more at this point of his career is telling. that interview from a few weeks ago is telling in itself. all moot now that his season is done. he's going to be a lame duck next year

Eagles 24 - Panthers 17

Bonus: A starter on the Eagles offense leaves the game early due to injury.

The Eagles won a Super Bowl the year after Kelce retired with a dominant OLine.

The Bears should cart Caleb Williams back out the tunnel for pregame introductions

Jags are soft and overrated. They’ll get smacked early in the playoffs

Doing more? What else do you expect? I have no clue if the entire process is/was still on him but the last time there was a functional offensive staff coaching he was phenomenal in the back third of the season with his responsibilities and won a SB.

You started talking about the centers handling line protection calls instead of Hurts as a reason for poor performance against the blitz and ended up referencing "the RPO tamped down to overcome the defense" (whatever the hell that means) and you're asking me what I'm blathering about?

I’m trying to explain to you an evolving situation on how the blitz was handled in the past, why it worked, but also how it is a limitation now as the OL has deteriorated and Jalen is less mobile. Given the current challenges, the QB needs to recognize the blitz and communicate with the receivers to adjust their routes, and they need to be ready when the ball is out. I think a lot this is new to QB1 despite being in the league for years - we haven’t dealt with the blitz in a traditional way, haven’t developed that proficiency and now are years behind in this game within a game. I’m not even sure what your position is - hots exist but Jalen refuses to use them, hots aren’t taught for any reason and the coaches are just morons?

Sirianni handed both them and the Rams free wins to boost their confidence.

Honestly if he gets out there on his prosthetic leg at all he is a shoo in for come back player of the year.

When kelce retired he took it over.

Shifting the line away from an overload blitz, shows that he still has a bit to learn.

Wonder if McKee goes 15/31 for 132 yards and we win if the hurts camp with talk about how well he played. They seem to appreciate average to below average qb play

I think the pass blocking was sufficient and Barkley had a huge season because the OL dominated.

For sure, not disagreeing. However he hasn’t had a competent coaching staff since the SB. I said it in a previous post. Condensed sets and refusal to use extra blockers is ridiculous. That goes deeper than hurts isn’t recognizing and adjusting.

Patullo maybe got grouping, formation and protection out before the mic cut off.

This year the scheme makes zero sense. Hes learning that and the OL is too.

I notes him motioned DG away from that blitz in game. Was crazy to watch. He’s certainly had his issues.

Guys like Hurts that are as successful as they are, and do it in a way that doesn’t "make sense” or goes against the grain to an extent, will always drive the beta cucks crazy

So you actively root against Hurts? It’s amazing how hung up people get on their personal agendas

How bad Howie's last couple drafts were is gonna be felt for a while.
