We needed EVERY WR position last year. How was he not what we needed as you say? Jefferson was the best route runner in the draft and had very good hands. What else do you want? Please dont tell me elite speed cause that is over rated. Only a handful of guys have that and 9.9 out of 10 turn out to be trash and cant catch or run a route. 

Jefferson was not my top choice, but he was number 2. I wanted Lamb and then Jeudy and Jefferson were pretty much even for me as my 2nd choices. I did not want to touch Ruggs or Reagor. Jefferson was the mold of almost every WR that came in and was underwhelming. Matthews, JJAW, Reggie Brown. Didn’t see his ceiling being as high as it is. I was wrong but also think he’s reached his peak. That is still good.

All these rumors remind me of 2004 draft when all the rumors out there were the Eagles moving up with the 49ers to select Steven Jackson Hb. Draft comes, we make the move and trade up with the 49ers. OMG we are getting Jackson??? Nope, Shawn Andrews. Fake news to mask the real pick.

Other then the fact he was a much more successful WR in college that the 3 you listed sure, lol. So his build and speed match, play wise and skill level were way beyond Matthews, JJaw and Brown and against much better defending teams.

I think Dallas is a top drafting team yes.  Where they fail is coaching and putting it all together.  There's no denying that Dallas knows how to draft.

So you guys convinced me  @12 : (1) Waddle (2) Horn (3) Slater  OR  if a trade back in the 20ish range a 2nd rounder ( almost top 50 ) + one of Bateman, Moehrig, Newsome. Mid 20’s trade back throw in a 3rd maybe a 2022 2nd. Howie’s job to make the best choice and Lurie’s job to make sure he does. We won’t know if there are options available but Jeffrey will

Not me.  One, it is very difficult to get that top QB that you describe.  Very rare indeed.  Honestly, that is more of a pipe dream than a reality.  Furthermore a top OL will definitely and without question nor argument make good QB,  WR, RB, TE look much better than they are while great weapons rarely make a poor OL look better.  There is ample proof of this.  KC in the SB is most recent.  Great QB, HOF TE sill in his prime, great WR, but the offensive line made them all look dependent upon a good offensive line.

KCs receivers couldn’t get open , hence Mahomes running for 498 yards total before throwing the ball , Hill and Kelce  etc just as much as fault is the OL

It's a TBD From the NFL.  Some team meetings will be virtual, but there is no guidance yet from the NFL about mini camps

Mahomes ran because the line was on him before he could even set his feet.   But your argument helps make a point: loading up on weapons and outscoring opponents is a poor strategy if it ignores the offensive line and defense.

Waddle was injuried last year which is why Smith had so many more catches. It actually prob helped him get more targets since Waddle was not there. BUT I do like Smith better then Waddle. His size is my only concern like most but Waddle is not that much bigger. I like Smith's route running more. Waddle was about speed to get open. Smith is not slow by any means but was very good ar using his route skills and get open.

One more weapon for Bucs to focus on , could have been breaking point for Bucs D 

my point is it’s about a QB with quick release who knows where to go with the ball , beit to a rec or throwing it away , makes the OL look better

case and point , TB , their OL was much better year over year , and they even started a rookie RT and  had to play a backup late in year at RG , thanks to the QB

smart QBs with a quick release are great for OLs and nightmares for a pass rush
