I'm a Penn State alumni and big fan of Hamler but anyone who had Hamler ahead of Reagor was really off, imo  Hamler is basically Reagor but 25 lbs lighter and not nearly as strong.

Reagor's work ethic during games is a huge concern and why I think he has draft grades all over the place. I agree he is a better prospect than Hamler.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

When you see someone like Waller go in the 6th rd, get waived, then make all pro at TE, let's not write off JJAW quite yet!

I think it's hard to tell if it's talent or coaching, look at Agholor and Darby this season, what the f---?

Which is why I don't want Peddy back, I don't think player development is a strong suit for him, and it wasn't for Schwartz either.

Argument by anecdote - weak.

Howie is as bad as it gets.

Well that was depressing in more ways than 1.

-Howie and DP are coming back.

-Howie referenced the past too much and how they've had success.  IMO, none of that matters given the current state of the team.

-No hardball questions defending moves like bringing Alshon back.

-DP walked around the tank question but I don't care.

I hate Howie so much.

Sad to hear. But I’m sure those same reporters won’t be afraid to give their opinions on line. But, lob softballs at them when it’s time.

Patrick Surtain or trade back a few spots and get Davis

Dude, I follow the draft like a fiend.  I look at the rankings daily.  JALEN REAGOR WAS NEVER A TOP 5 WR PROSPECT.

As do lots of us in here, going into his final college season he was a very touted WR prospect in a very deep draft at the position.  Players rise and fall all the time.  Him and Shenault were must watch prospects with lots of hype that year.

Where was Burrow at on your list going into the season?

Ruggs? Jefferson?

Year before that...Murray?

On the flip side, how high did you (and the media) have people like Lock, Little, Delpit, Eason, etc.

Hell Matt Barkley would have went #1 overall once had he not stayed in college.

I'm pissed as well. Remember the historic running back draft and we traded up for Pumphrey! Pumphrey, Jmatt, Huff, Jjaw, Reagor.

It is a joke. If we pass on Chase/Smith because of Reagor and JJAW.... They are on completely different levels of talents

To be fair, I have question on both Chase and SMith.   Chase being out a year, concerns me. Smith is a very slight built WR. If I have those questions, I tell you the eagles do as well. And since they never draft skill positions that highly, I believe they pass on them anyway. They will likely draft either OL or DL, highest rated player avail, or trade back a few spots, rinse wash repeat.

The fact they talk about JJAW being an intricate part of this team is amazing. He did absolutely nothing all season until last night in a meaningless game. Hightower and Watkins were more productive and relied upon more than JJAW. If he couldn’t get on the field until a meaningless game ans the eagles feel like he should be counted on for next year then they all are either lying or need to be canned.

Agreed man. It is just Howie trying to justify that pick. There is a story about Seattle about drafting a receiver and knowing he was a bust the first day on the field. The coaches moved on quickly. This team is so delusion. They never can move on.

I just don't get it anymore. It doesn't make any sense. He is a bust. Admit it. The Fans would be proud if you did!

random press conference Cliff notes:

-Relationship with Wentz is good.

-Relationship with ertz is great. lol

-John Dorsey is NOT being brought in to help with personnel, they think they have a good enough process. 🤦‍♂️

-Howie fought the little voice in his head that told him to change personnel in order to move forward & stop living in 2017. WTF

-Howie said Doug DOES hire his own coaching staff and howie has total trust in Doug.

-Howie said they aren’t changing who makes the draft selections because they have had a ton of success with certain picks (WTF) and then in the next sentence blamed the fact that they don’t select in the top 10 for why they haven’t hit on picks ... again WTF

-Doug said Nate is very capable of executing the offense. lol

If I’m Laurie listening to that press conference I’m firing Howie by noon today for the quotes I underlined. Enough is enough.

Yeah i give Seattle credit. They are much more willing to accept when they make a bad pick and just move on. They paid Flynn good amount of money to be the starter. They saw he wasn’t that guy went with Wilson. They drafted penny in the first. They continued to go with Carson before penny’s injury cause he was the better player. They have made some bad picks over the years but they usually move on when it’s obvious it was a bad pick. The eagles try to justify it and keep trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

I think Surtain is a reach at 6. Chase outplayed him when they were matched up. He beat both Diggs and Surtain. He has beaten everyone that is draft eligible.

As in any year but most didn’t have a first round grade on Reagor.

Howie overthought it again. Taking a player for his skill set instead of taking the better prospect.

IMO, this was overcompensation for the JJAW vs Metcalf pick, where they took production over upside.

You just picked 4 dates in April.  Going into the season he was coming off an amazing year and thought of very highly with his ability to develop.  His last year in college dropped him and by the time all was said and done going into the draft, as you said he was the #8 WR.  It's ok for us to both be wrong and right at the same time you know?

Reagor was considered a late first round pick coming off his 2018 season.  One example...https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/way-too-early-2020-nfl-draft-mock-draft

Yea. They know when to cut bait. Howie can't figure it out.

FWIW,

- Daniel Jeremiah didn’t have Reagor in his top 50. Shenault, Higgins, and Hamler did make the list.

- ESPN had Reagor 51st.

- CBS had Reagor 21st.

So Howie follows CBS’ rankings ... problem solved.

Reagor will be fine next season. He’s going to be good.

I actually agree with this.  No offseason.  Injured early.  I think it'll come together.

Don't know if he'll be a #1 though.

That line is ridiculous on so many levels. It’s absolutely idiotic if howie said we haven’t selected in the top 10 as to why we haven’t hit on picks.

I think he will be a good number 2 that has drops and frustrating moments. Kind of like Aggy.

Someone should have asked Doug " is this the new normal you talked about?"

I highly doubt the Eagles go WR again in the first, especially in the top 10...they need to grab the top OT, DL, CB for the rebuild or as a  consolation, pick up an extra pick and grab the best IOL.

If that's the case, then I can't buy that.  I don't believe that it'll be though.  The flashes he's shown this year make me think that he'll be really good ala Chris Godwin

Dude, admit you were wrong and move along.

At no point, beginning of the college season, after the college season, after the combine or draft night was Reagor a top 5 prospect.

He was never ranked higher than Ruggs, Lamb, Jeudy, Jefferson or Higgins.  And generally never higher than Aiyuk, Shenault or Claypool.  Consensus most of the way was a 2nd round pick.

This is our GM ! He’s basically saying there’s only 10 guys every year who can make an impact not even a year after passing on Jefferson at 21! This dude is a clown
