I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Im watching these Jamie Newman highlights. And I guess the knock on him is decision making which wont be seen here. But he does have arm talent. Its nice to see what when Sage Surratt was looking like an excellent WR prospect, it had a lot to do with Newman throwing him well placed balls. Surratt should have entered the draft last year. He went back and destroyed his value.

I can't wait to watch offense this year.  Our defense will likely be doing its part to make sure we see our offense plenty this year because this secondary isn't stopping anybody.

Fast forward to 2:50.  Making Surtain look silly.  They didn't get too creative in getting him the ball.  Nasty Nate or WR4

I know this sounds silly but regarding JaCoby Stevens, one thing to not overlook is the fact that he was given #7.  LSU doesn't just hand that number over to anyone.  Much like Bennie Logan wore #18 and that spoke volumes for the kind of teammate and player he was.

The No. 18 is voted on by coaches and is a symbol of leadership for a worthy athlete to wear. But the No. 7 is now seen as a symbol of the elite, only gaining national attraction in 2008 with the arrival of Patrick Peterson. Today, the jersey is a token of notoriety, only being worn by the next play-maker of the team.

Love that QB tossing the ball around

Man - it wouldn't surprise me if Smith and Grimes are our 2 best receivers on Day 1.

Pretty sure it was Warren Sapp who said he doesn’t take direction

Probably got it from Belichick, Nick Saban had all good things to say about the kid.

Shaun Wade did the same thing.

It's not silly.  It's nice that he was respected like that by his team.    We'll see how he translates to LB in the NFL.

I think this will go down as one of the least talented drafts in decades.

The talent thinned out before #20, and I think a lot of 2nd rd picks would have been 3rd rd picks in a normal year, and by the third day, few potential starters were left.

This is disguised by comparing players within the draft, but not across drafts.

I think any team that gets 2 solid starters out of this draft is doing well, and 3 will be well ahead of the pack.

It's the 2022 draft that will make or break some teams - and I'd like to see Ertz dealt for a 2022 pick.

Agreed, some people think number stuff is dumb though and don't follow college football and realize the importance of something like this though.

Ertz is an Eagle in 2021.

I could see a contender like KC trading for Wetz if Kelce were to get injured. Otherwise I’m not sad at all that we have Ertz another year

A little overdramatic. I'm not sure how soon McLeod will be ready, but when he returns, we have 2 good starting safeties and a very good CB1. We clearly have to figure out CB2 between now and the start of the season. Maddox should be solid as the slot corner, but can start on the outside if there are no other options. Jacquet showed potential last year, but also proved he wasn't completely ready yet and still has work to do. We have no idea what McPhearson can contribute this season, but he'll be in the mix. If nobody is ready, we should be able to pick up a serviceable stop-gap vet before the regular season starts.

I felt CB2 was our biggest need and we weren't able to get someone in the draft to man the spot from day 1. But our secondary as a whole isn't near as bad as you're making it out to be.

Overall I’m not surprised with how the draft turned out.

The more I think of it, Smith had to be the pick. In a league that favors offense more and more, specifically a vertical passing game, the Eagles just don’t have the playmakers to keep up. CB was never going to be the pick. I was pulling for Slater but Howie made the right call. With our best WR being basically Agholor/poor man’s Maclin (Reagor) they had to get a baller who can give secondaries fits.

I figured they’d go OLine early but not a Center. Either way, I think Dickerson starts week 1 at guard. Not sure of the cap ramifications but Kelce getting dealt to KC wouldn’t shock me.

Then the pick of a DT shouldn’t have shocked anyone.

I’m fully expecting the Eagles to be in the QB market next offseason.

I’m hoping Hurts shocks us all. He has been putting in work this off-season

I don't think we can say we have two good safeties.  McLeod coming off of a major injury in his 30s.  We signed that safety from the Vikings but he is coming off of a really bad year. We have no corners outside of Slay who is in his 30s and in decline. No linebackers.  Our entire defense is built around an aging defensive line. We have one of the least talented defenses in the league in one of the most offensively talented divisions in the league.

And you know your defense is screwed when you name a 4th round reach as a reason for why you think the defense will be decent.

He will shock some here for sure.  Others saw the promise of his rookie year and know with his work ethic he has the chance to shine in year two.

His shortcomings cant be solved in the weight room
