I mean the subsection is called "Conflicting Views....", I just didn't expect someone to have conflicting views with themselves.

I submit for your consideration as post of the year @vikas83 @Paul852 @Gannan @mr_hunt @Toastrel @Boogyman @VanHammersly @mayanh8

Yikes. You know you're triggered when a mildly humorous post elicits this kind of response.

I'm going to have to start taking it easier on you, I think.

The post wasn’t humorous at all. It’s unfortunate for you that it’s a fact that you have conflicting views with yourself.

And I fail to see how my post was so stupid... I’d prefer the FBI to identify and arrest cyber criminals that extort American businesses out of money as opposed to tracking down boomers who walked through the capitol. Lmao seems pretty straightforward

You said "prevent".

Imagine defending this country for 18 years as a Marine and then getting a 20-year prison sentence for meandering around the Capitol.

LMAO

Bidens america.

Law and Order

I support the US Constitution!

I support LE!

I support law and order.

Trying to stop the election certification is fine with me. Beating capitol police is fine with me. Waving the confederate flag in the capitol after rioting, breaking in is fine. Subverting the Constitution process is fine, because our guy lost through his own stupidity.

Dave, I doubt he gets 20 years. With his lack of a criminal record, his service to his country, and his inevitable PTSD mitigation strategy, I don't think he'll get much time. Whatever he gets, a dishonorable discharge is likely waiting in the wings for him though. He has changed his life path in a big way with his stupidity, and not for the better.

And all for Donald Trump. This is the one thing I will never comprehend with these people. I get that most of them are easily manipulated but with their "F the rich" mentality you would think they wouldn't be duped by a guy who has been screwing the working class for decades.

Your walking a tight rope here dude.   Fricken woke libs almost unanimously support rioters destroying and stealing private property and ruining average joes lives who have nothing to do with their perceived injustices.

For me I look at it very simply.  You take part in riots and destruction of the private citizen you should get the book thrown at you.

Taking part in a insurrection against the government with no guns as a statement (do you really think it was anything more than a statement?)to our elected officials is not the same.  They took their grievance to the source. Right or wrong isn’t the point.  The point is they didn’t go there to destroy innocent peoples lives they went there to show the people they perceived did the country wrong notice them.

of course they do the time for the crime.  I’m not saying they shouldn’t.

but seriously how half arse backwards is rioting and destroying cities over a grievance against police is it compared to storming the capital over a perceived fraud election process?

Cults thrive on members like this. Jim Jones, David Koresh, 45 (I refuse to say his name if I don't have to) all duped morons with insane religious rhetoric. Without these people cults would die off faster than they were started.

Cult 45 members parrot what they hear on Fox News. I would bet most don't even know what socialism or communism even is.

You could argue that the protest itself was a statement. Once you're breaking windows of the Capitol and attacking police with bear spray in an attempt to stop the peaceful transfer of power, it ceases to be a statement and becomes an act.

If you're saying there's a greater logical connection in attacking the Capitol to stop democracy than attacking storefronts and buildings to stop police brutality, hey you might have point, I guess. But that point doesn't really polish the turd of their attempted insurrection. Because your summary seems to be "Hey, when my side of the political field riots, at least they directly attack American democracy itself as the source of their conspiracy theory-based anger."  Cool, but the point still stands—for all their "respect the flag" and "blue lives matter" talk, they were ready to tear the republic apart because of some tweets. When the system tilts in their favor, they love the system - cops, the flag, etc. When it doesn't, for one single election cycle, they're ready to flip the whole thing, cops and flags included.

I see the attempt to whitewash it, but I'm pretty confident this isn't gonna land in the history books in a friendly way for you.

Maybe they were just making a statement.

Just like the cop who shot Ashlii Babbit was making a statement.

If you catch my drift...

Did you look at the charges against him?  It’s not just meandering.

Oh, so if they just went ahead and found and arrested the "hacker group" , huh? JFC, you are one of the dumbest MFers I've ever encountered. I used to think it was an act.
