If this forum is ready to go for the Draft I say we post here and not on that 'other' site.  Leave it an effing ghost town so the Eagles PR/marketing team can see what they're missing out on with most

Howie needs to stop the other 31 teams from participating in the draft!

Don't think they can wait for a WR until pick 53 or they may not even get one of the tier 2 guys. If they take anything other then WR at 21 then I expect them to try to move up in round 2.

Agreed. Howie has to be very careful. If there is an early WR run, then teams very well could start panicking and the WRs could fly off the boards and we might get a 4th round value WR at the end of round 2. I know this is a deep class, but if teams fear that WR is the BPA due to the depth, then they might stock up early.  The bottom line is if the Eagles feel that there is a starting caliber WR at #21, then you take him...regardless if people feel that the player should be drafted 10 spots later.  The only way you trade back is if you have a willing partner and you really know the teams behind you won't continue the WR run.

This draft is also deep at tackle and teams are always qb needy and this draft has a bunch that could go in the 1st.

2001 was considered a good WR class.

6 went in the 1st round id be surprised if more than 6 went this year.

After juedy ruggs lamb jefferson who knows who the next 2 could be. Mims? Higgins? reagor? Aiyuk?

I think 7 will go in round 1 (Jeudy, Lamb, Ruggs, Jefferson, Reagor, Mims and Aiyuk).

If true then trade back a few spots for another 2nd round pick. 21 is bit too high for him. His tape didn't **** away.

I agree try and trade back to recoup some picks but if they trade back and someone takes him before their pick i hope they have a better contingency plan than a pumphrey😒

We could get one of those 4 by trading back.

Maybe, i think higgins will go higher than a lot of people think.

Most likely.

was that the Freddie Mitchell draft?

Yup. And of the 6 taken in the 1st 4 busted.

I'd be fine with Reagor Aiyuk or Higgins. All would be an improvement and getting an extra third to me would be worth it.

1st round to too early for Jefferson who is unproven playing outside. Certainly hope the Eagles don't pick him in the 1st. Could be another Agholor, Arcega, or Jordan Matthews. Big receivers that play in the slot, but can't play outside.

Yup echoed these same sentiments a couple weeks ago on the board and the blog lost their poop, but yeah i agree.

Everybody is looking at WR. I can see this go a few different ways tonight. Ideally, the Eagles get one of the top WRs: Lamb, Ruggs, Jeudy. Seems like they're going to start going off the board starting around pick #10 or so. Moving up that far is going to cost too much. So I think they should sit tight at #21, or possibly they can move up 2-3 picks. If they are very lucky a top-tier WR will fall to them. If not, they try to trade down and wait to take a couple WRs later in the draft. I don't think they start picking the second-tier WRs at #21; they should wait and see who's there in the 2nd round. If the Eagles have to make a pick at #21, the top-tier WRs are gone and can't find a partner to trade down, they take BPA and wait to pick WR later.

This sounds great assuming there are only three or four top-notch WR as tier 1. What if there are at least 6 of those guys? If the Eagles pass on a WR who becomes a star, they'll never hear the end of it. BPA better be a star.

Jeudy might get that Sidney Jones treatment.

Questioning whether or not he can be an effective outside receiver is a legitimate concern.

Lets all face the facts that really anything can happen with Howie calling the shots. I think no one would be surprised on anything he does. Move up for Lamb, Move up for some random guy none of us expected, Move back in the late first, Move out of the first.

I think the only thing he know won't happen is he won't trade the 1st rounder during the draft for another teams player. Other then that, im ready for just about anything.

No he won’t.  He wasn’t carried off at his pro day like Jones.

Correct, but Jeudy has signs of a knee issue that could shorten his career and there’s nothing to fix it.

Sounds like Ajayi, he dropped in the draft because of degenerative knee issues though he wasnt considered a 1st round top pick but i could see juedy slide, how far??? Not sure, to 21??? If so do the eagles take the risk?

Juedy sure as heck doesnt move like he has achey knees.

10 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Then he could be compared to Ajayi.  The Jones comparison doesn’t make sense.

I just meant someone who we drafted who we drafted late only because of an injury concern.

Anyone running that draft game from the old board?

Jeudy has a good clean bill of health. Confirmed by his doctors and had no issues during physicals during combine. He will be fine.

After his surgery he had 68 catches for 1,315 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Id say hes ok

The only thing that makes sense is that the Eagles move up and take one of those three top receivers no matter what the cost.

I dont know about that, those top 3 arent sure fire prospects.
