None of them have symptoms. At least the vaccines are working.

I was starting to get more positive lately but now I fear we are headed right back to where we were.

I'd start worrying when vaccinated people start ending up in the hospital.

I was at the ER last week with food impaction in my esophagus. It was miserable. They swabbed me before going up to the OR for the endoscopy.  Ouch. Negative result.  Now I have a GI doc to go see.  Have to get in the blasted MRI machine for my breasts this morning. Just washed my cloth mask in case I have to wear it in the machine like last time. Yuck. I better pass!   I hate getting old!

Getting old is rough, but the alternative. . . .

Was  nice to have a bit of normal for awhile but now mask mandates coming back slowly, LA requiring indoor masks, another out break with the Yankees postponing games. Could once again see empty footballs stadiums. Numbers rising even here in NJ

This is so monumentally stupid that I am amazed that it is LA and not SF doing it. We want people to get vaccinated -- over 99% of people getting very sick are unvaccinated. The way we end the pandemic is getting idiots to take the vaccine.

So what does LA County do? Let's inconvenience people responsible people to protect the irresponsible. They are flat out saying they are doing this because they want to protect unvaccinated idiots who stopped wearing masks. Because somehow removing both the negative consequences of being an idiot and the positive reward of getting vaccinated at the same time will...cause more people to get vaccinated?? We shouldn't be saving idiots from feeling the consequences of their bad decisions -- this just encourages even more bad decisions.

It is 100% the wrong way to go.

Pretty telling where the hot spots are, and where the vaccine rates are under 40%. The unvaccinated who believe the virus is a hoax, or its over, or the vaccine isn't safe and don't wear masks or social distance, deserve to get Covid.

NFL Network's Rich Eisen, who anchors special event coverage for the network, is currently quarantining with COVID-19, according to an Instagram post Thursday.

Coronavirus cases have been on the rise again across the country due to the delta variant, though statistically the U.S. is still doing far better than it was in January. Eisen received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine in February, the same month he traveled to Tampa Bay for Super Bowl 55.

"Every health care professional I’ve come across in the last few days tell me the two shots of Pfizer I got in February are what’s keeping a 52-year-old like me from a far worse experience than the awful one I’m having," Eisen wrote in the post. "So, be careful if you’re vaccinated and, if you’re not vaccinated, don’t wait another second."

Insurance companies should refuse to cover covid hospitalizations for the unvaccinated. If these people want to play stupid games, they can pay for their stupid prizes out of their own pockets.

Or at the very F'ing least, they should be hiking premiums for everyone that hasn't provided proof of vaccination. I had to provide proof of my kids' birth and relationship to me so that I could cover them under my policy, but nothing to inconvenience or encourage morons to get vaccinated for literally everyone's benefit. I can't take the stupidity anymore.

I've been beating this drum for months. Do either of these things and watch vaccination rates soar.

Allow the market to provide negative feedback for poor decisions, and watch what happens.

They don't care until it directly impacts them. Nothing will change based on these stories. She was literally one of those people until her daughter ended up in the hospital.

File this under news that isn't really news...  Perhaps what is more interesting is how disinformation and the grift have evolved. LINK

Bottom line: ivermectin may not be any more harmful, but doesn't seem to be effective treatment for COVID-19 either. For the proponents of ivermectin, this really isn't about treating disease as it's about some other grievances they have.

I learned the other day that ivermectin is used as a dewormer for livestock, including sheep. Meanwhile the biggest proponents of it regularly scold those who got vaccinated for being brainwashed by the government and big pharma. Think about the irony of that for a second.

I believe other places are starting now also , I think St louis. The anti vaxxers are going to say why bother getting the vaccine  but they were not going to get it any way. In China they are going to deny access to parks and other things.
