Good thread on how delta changed the vaccine efficacy game and widened the gap between protection of symptomatic vs severe disease. A bit heavy on technical detail, but it shows why even virologists who were once skeptical on the need for annual boosters have now changed their tune in a post-delta world.

 

 

Also, early data out of Columbia shows that this new Mu variant is getting its ass handed to it by Delta. Starting to seem more and more likely that none of the current crop of variants can compete with Delta, and quite possible that all future variants will be sub-lineages of it.

This is actually easily disprovable because Rogan took the people version of the drug and literally every article written about it headlined with the **** ishlib line of "Rogan takes horse-dewormer drug after covid diagnoses." So, yeah, it'd be nice if we weren't dealing with a bunch of horrible liars when talking about the media, but that's simply not the case.

I give up on the un-vax crowd.  They take every quarter truth nugget as validation for 110% of their lunatic conspiracies.  Invectamin makes it into official COVID treatment in certain cases and under specific methods of use?  Oh, forget about it!  COVID is a hoax after all, trump won the election and we never landed on the moon!  I said I'd give them the summer to change their minds and instead the drumbeat of stupidity has just gotten louder and braver.  On social media they dominate every news thread with their circle jerk of half truths and thunderstorm doubt mongering.
