Most hated Philadelphia athlete ever? He's really making a strong case. There were still some defenders of his up until very recently, but exposing him for taking advantage of the mental health card, as we have more and more athletes coming out with that as a real reason for their issues/performance is going to destroy him across the board.

You know he's sitting at home being a spoiled brat not answering the phone thinking he doesn't have to. Well time to come back with your tail between your legs for the second time, if you want to get paid.

He really needs to fire Rich Paul at this point. I said that earlier in a hopeful fan way of still trying to find a way to rectify this, but its past rectification at this point. He just needs to do that for himself at this point. That guy hasn't aided in resolving this at all.

It WAS fun. It was funny. It was awesome.

But being 1st seed in the east changes perception. 

There is really no reason for it at this point. It would make sense if Simmons really had value to get a player like Lillard or Beal. But he never did. At least not in the last 2 years.

As it is, teams were offering fair value. And we declined everything. This situation could have been resolved. And its not Ben's fault that it is still not. Its completely all Morey's fault that this isnt resolved. 

Maybe all of that wouldnt matter so much in a typical year. But we are seeing a team with such incredible chemistry, playing really nice team ball right now. And taking down top teams while nowhere near full strength. 

We have the #1 seed in the east, and could even be bringing in re-inforcements on top of that. And yet, we just continue to cut off our nose to spite our face. We could have had this team, with Brodgon and an additional 1st round pick added in to be even better next year. Instead, we just still have Simmons, and are making a public spectacle of punishing him while he remains untraded through Morey's own doing. 

Its gotten ridiculous. It does not help us. Only hurts us. This team is really good, and could be even better already but Morey has no interest in improving the team right now. Thats disgusting.

You do understand that by waiting until December, it opens up a lot more options on trades right?  Morey is handling this just fine.....and honestly, it doesn't matter if they are the 1, 2 or 3 seed......it doesn't matter if the team adds players via trade, all that matters is getting the right team, right chemistry during the playoff run and getting hot.  Milwaukee was what..the 3 seed?   Let Simmons sit and get fined, come December, make the best trade possible, bring in reinforcements and let's go.  Also, there is a bigger issue than Simmons, Embid is not right.  And I think they totally f'd up after the season NOT performing surgery on him to clean up that MCL issue.  #Deseanjackson

Who is going to be available in December that is better than anyone we could have already had?

Are you excited about hearing how the starting lineup has no experience together come playoff time? Like we hear every year when they make deadline trades?

Better for chemistry if this was done sooner than later. No reason to continue dragging this on. 

 

Embiid had a meniscus tear. Its not been reported that the meniscus is giving him any issues. Thats just an assumption for now. The only thing that was reported, when he left the court in the 1st game of the season, was that he banged knees with another player. He hasnt been right since then. The bigger issue is that they gave him the super max, when this happens every. single. year.

I dont think anyone except Danny Green has put up ugly shots. Embiid... maybe take his word for it but he looks like the usual sluggish Embiid. His issues seem to be unrelated to the ball.

He doesn't look as comfortable from the FT line. He is down from pretty much 86% to 80%, but he has a  number of makes that have rattled in where Embiid himself thought they weren't going to fall

He has missed a lot of shots this year. I was doing some reading through the offseason and it's been an issue everywhere he has played. His offensive board numbers look good with other teams because he is usually trying to tip in one of his misses. What has surprised me with Drummond is his passing. He has been a clear upgrade over Howard, but he is going to also frustrate us with easy misses as the season goes on

I wish he would get traded and see what happens when the team he plays for has to come back here....two possible scenarios....one, he doesn't play due to rest (translation, too big of a puzzay to dare step on the court which would look just great to his new teammates) and/or two, he does dare to play and the crowd gives it to him like it has never been done before.  Any time he touches the ball they scream shoot, any time he is at the line they start yelling brick, brick, brick, brick the second the foul is called!  It would be worth the price of admission alone......
