Ben was treated too nicely in Philly.  That’s not something that can be said, all to often.

Ben was given the benefit of doubt the previous 4 seasons and ironically Philly fans were the ones defending him given his age and upside, with the hope he would develop into the player he had the potential to be. If he handled things differently after the playoff loss to the Hawks, maybe we wouldn't be having this discussion. However, it's probably for the best.

In the grand scheme of things, Ben Simmons when playing, even with his flaws, is not a bad player by any stretch. If you're making an analogy, he's a younger, more athletic version of Draymond Green. On a championship team, he's not your No. 1 option or No. 2 option, maybe not even your No. 3 option, but still someone that can be an important starter.

It's not a coincidence that when Jimmy Butler was on the team, it was considered championship caliber, with a lineup of Embiid - Harris - Butler - Redick - Simmons. It also helped that Tobias Harris was playing better at that time, but this reinforces the above point. Simmons didn't have to be the 2nd best player on that team.

In theory, Simmons has an opportunity to be successful as a No. 3 option with the Nets, should he choose to take advantage of it. That last part remains to be seen.

The Sixers will grow to rue the day they let Markelle Fultz slip through their fingers.

The Sixers were able to flip Markelle Fultz into Tyrese Maxey AND Matisse Thybulle. Both of those guys are starting for us and have room to continue to get better. You would have a point if the 76ers drafted a bust with those picks, but they took full advantage of those assets. No regrets.

Nets lost again.

Ramona reports Ben had a small setback with his back injury.  Woj says about playing March 10th "not happening"

Ummm...right up until the point teams play hack a Ben in the 4th quarter taking the ball out of Irving and Durant's hands and him hitting 30% of his free throws.

Steven A was saying he isn't buying into the Sixers until they play some people.

I didn’t say I wasn’t "buying into them,” but seeing them against top opponents in the East is obviously a better gauge to see just how good they are.

Stephen A is also dumb enough to say that if Maxey is their third option they aren’t coming out of the East. It’s like the dude only knows names and doesn’t watch the games anymore.

Minnesota on the road was a quality win. They’re currently the 7th seed in the west and have just beaten the Warriors and Cavs.

I agree they’re a quality win (Wolves also recently beat Memphis), but I think these next three games will be the best barometer to see where they stand in the conference.

Yep, exactly this. If the Sixers get the Nets in the playoffs and just start hacking Simmons in the fourth, Brooklyn is done. Dude already can’t handle that, but having to try to hit those free throws in front of the Philly crowd? Dude will be visibly shaking.

Entire Wells Fargo Center chanting "BRICK....BRICK...BRICK...BRICK...." while he tries and shoots......

now simmons is the gift that keeps on giving. i mean we have new york fans begging other new york fans to coddle this guy.

you can't make this stuff up !!

Might I also recommend giving Kendall courtside seats LMFAO.....

[Wojnarowski] Nik Stauskas is signing a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Stauskas had an historic week, scoring 100 points on 57 and 43 point performances in back-to-back games for Grand Rapids.

Missing the point, she left Ben for Booker.....I'd invite him too and have them sit side by side courtside canoodling but he will be playing....

PS Hopefully it isn't too awkward between Simmons and Griffin as they both dated her too........those girls are flat out tramps.

Yeah - the Kardashians/Jenners have had more NBA players go through them than Madison Square Garden

That's why I'd rather not take the chance of them being anywhere near the team lol

Harris is questionable tonight. "Non-Covid illness. "  Too bad if he doesn’t play, they need all the time they can get to figure out how to make him fit this current lineup.

Cross your fingers for a Shake resurgence soon.

This team plays no defense. None!!!

We are getting smoked on the boards besides not playing defense. 12-2 rebounding for the cavs

Harris 0-3 from three which you’d like to see him be better at but he’s scoring. Already has 13. helping us stay in this game.

thybulle in 8 mins has 0 points, 0 boards, 0 assists, 0 blocks, 0 steals and 2 fouls.
