Moderate Dems got smart and selected a viable moderate that independents and Main Street Republicans could vote for.  Trump has alienated Main Streeters with his tariff policies and his human scum comment.  I am real glad my choices aren’t Bombastic Bernie and ***** Donald.   That might have caused me to look Libertarian.  I agree that Biden needs to be smart with his VP choice.  Go too progressive and he loses Main Streeters and independents.  I liked Amy but the BLM  movement and Minneapolis DA issue took her out.   I do hate that he forced his hand by declaring he would select a woman.  Corey Booker would have been an interesting choice because, regardless of his politics, he is just so likable as a person.

The only reason I might vote for Biden over Trump is for the loan forgiveness. So along those lines, Id like to see Warren VP because her plan (as well as Biden's) would wipe out all of my debt while stopping at least a bit short of crazy Bernie's. Biden and Warren teaming up would seem to be guaranteed loan forgiveness for me and Warren said she would do it on day 1 of her presidency so I imagine she would be super fast in doing it if she were VP. Thats a student loan forgiving dynamic duo for me.

IF I go Biden, Ill also just press the all Democrat button when I vote because I dont want the senate standing in the way as they have already blocked any/all loan forgiveness plans that the house democrats have presented. Im really perturbed at how much the dems took out of the Heroe's act before even negotiating just to try to make it more palatable to the republicans. I got screwed out of a lot in that bill if it passes as is, and probably lose out on more by the time both sides agree to pass it.

Im really annoyed by the lack of response by the senate republicans right now in getting a 2nd stimulus out to the people. All you hear is wait and see, and theyre taking their 2 week recess for the 4th of July, and waiting on a jobs report that might look positive even though we are seeing COVID make a huge comeback in the country. And what you do hear about a stimulus is a travel bill. They are so disconnected from reality where people are struggling right now. Meanwhile theyre taking their recess and giving tax credits for vacations that tons of people couldnt dream of right now.

i get this but i cant excuse racism, sexism, corruption, criminal behavior, word salad, inciting violence, destroying the environment,  utter stupudity ect... because the economy is " biggly" or i might get student loan forgiveness.

Dont hold your breath on that, betsy Devos is and has done everything she possibly can to eliminate student loan forgiveness programs and if Trump were re elected shes not going anywhere or all the sudden changing every thing shes done for the past 3 years.

Yeah Im fully aware Im not getting forgiveness with Trump and DeVos in office. She has been blocking it as best she can, and Trump keeps cutting the public service loan forgiveness out of every budget proposal he submits.

I have some hope for something relatively small like the 10k of loan forgiveness going through in one of these plans. Even if just for healthcare providers I might still benefit from that.

If I can get 10k loan forgiveness, and then 10k hazard pay which has been a proposed bill as well, and another stimulus would be another 4800 for my family thatd be a nice chunk out of my loans.

If that ALL were to happen, I wouldnt feel the need to get rid of Trump. Id be happy to have more than half of my loans cut and would at that point vote for Trump who imo is a better candidate.

If I dont get any of that, and Biden is promising to wipe it all out for me thats too good to pass up.

Easier.

Well, since impeachment is the only way to remove a President (not counting elections) ...

Not true. See section 4 of the 25th amendment.

Really doubt its going to be Warren.  With everything going on, and even with how much race-baiting Trump has managed to accomplish, I don't see the country swelling over a pair of old white people as their ticket enough to win.  It's going to be one of the African American women in that group we discussed before.  I would guess either Harris, Demmings or Abrams.

Also, being annoyed by what McConnell and co. are doing to hold things up but saying you'd still vote for the person telling those Senators what to do makes 0 sense.

Ummmm how Mike Schmidt wasn’t no. 1 on this list is ridiculous. Then again it’s WIP and they probably had ESP do they list. I love AI but he didn’t deserve to be 1 over Schmidt. Also disagree with utley being top 5 over clarke, Erving, Carlton and parent and i love utley. Schmidt is the greatest third baseman in MLB history and his accomplishments are ridiculous when you see them laid out.

schmidt’s accomplishments:

— 80 WS MVP (won title)

— 3x NL MVP (80,81,86)

— 10x gold glove winner

—12 x all star

—6x silver slugger

— 8x NL homerun leader

— 4x NL rbi leader

— Mlb all century team

— Mlb all time team.

Whoever compiled that really overrates the 2008 Phils

Also since it;s open to boxers that list really needs Bernard Hopkins.

I am real curious about the offensive tweaks with the brain trust Doug brought in.
Hate Marty as an OC, love him as a west coast passing game advisor.  Hate Scangarello as an OC, love him as a motion advisor.  Not clear on what Breiner will add but like his background. Press is a thinking man in the pass game.  Peele, Duce and Stout have shown there worth with the TEs, RBs and line. Moorehead coached under Summerlin so there may be some Briles aspects he brings.  Really hope they play somehow this fall because those guys plus speed could be a thrill ride.

The Donald is actually supporting a stimulus while the Senators are saying wait and see. Trump is talking generous while other senators are saying maybe more focused on really just those who need it.

As of this minute, his republican senators are not exactly doing what he is saying. On that subject of voting for Trump in spite of this loan forgiveness stuff, I am saying thats the only reason I might not vote for him again. I voter for him the first time because he was better than Hillary, and I may vote for him again because hes better than Biden. It all depends on how much loan forgiveness I do or dont get before election time, and what Biden's VP says about it. Cause is hes gonna get a VP that talks him out of it Im not interested in that either.

what is not a first for me?

If it helps, I know these rankings are where he ranks these QBs as of this moment going into next season.  I guess that doesn't really help with Cam, especially because there's a decent chance he won't even play.  However, that's why he has Brees and Brady so far down.  They showed a ton of decline in their play last year.

FYI - If Wentz didn't have the injuries, I'd take him over Watson 100 times out of 100.

They're both the same injury wise though?

I just hope Doug, Marty, Scangarello, Press and Breiner can get along and work well together.  If Alshon isnt playing and Djax misses multiple games then this WR group is still very inexperienced.  I'm hoping that Reagor will make some impact right away and not pull a JJAW.

I think its Djax, Goodwin, Reagor, Ward, JJAW and maybe either Hightower or Watkins make the 6th spot.  Expecting Alshon to miss part of the year and come back mid season.  Not sure if I'm forgetting someone.

Yeah. I actually dont know if I coulda voted for Bernie though. Too many other crazy drastic ideas. It may be hard enough for the country to afford paying off student loans. I cant imagine how Bernie can get us all free everything. Id probably stick with trump in spite of the loan forgiveness in that case.

The big news in the NBA today was not just the schedule release, but also that Silver says- Its on.

I was starting to get doubtful over the last few days.  I think 16 players now, who will be involved in the re-start currently have covid. But Silver says its on and nothing is risk-free.

"We know that COVID-19 will be with us for the foreseeable future," Silver said on a conference call Friday afternoon with several league officials. "And we are left with no choice but to learn to live with this virus.

"No options are risk-free right now."

I get that its a big leap for a lot of people to make going from corporate dems and corporate repubs to more social progressive policy all in one go.

I'm all for getting sports back but I wonder if they should have just scrapped the season and started the new one in October like normal.

It's been so long now it almost feels like a new season.

Question for the blog:

If you were the book, what odds would you give on Sanders having Both 1000+ rushing and 1000+ receiving this year?

How about 1000 and 800?

I think they should have.

But in October, we might not be looking any safer still...
