I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Most of the illegal immigrants in this country didn't come through the southern border. Just most of the brown immigrants - you know - from those south american sh** H*le countries. I'm all for enforcing the law which is why we need more judges to process those immigration cases. But enforcing the law should include all illegal immigrants. Trumps wall only targets the southern border and brown immigrants. "The wall" is just red meat for the right wing - we already have border wall in place where it makes sense. And wasn't Mexico suppose to pay for Trumps wall? what happened to that?

Fun fact: Woodrow Wilson's wife Edith essentially was acting president at the end of Woodrow's career when he had a massive stroke.

Hadn't hear that but wouldn't doubt. It's surprising how few people new of FDR's condition and to what lengths the media went to help conceal it.

Green, you are better than that. You have to be a mental contortionist to not see the double standard. I said this a few pages back, but like a week before this someone opening a gym was going to kill us all.

One week later...mask or not...they were in the middle of thousands of people. They supported them for weeks. Democrats can do what they want. The President having a rally is the end of the world. It is hypocrisy.

Look, I get what you're saying.  But you're trying to compare 2 wildly different situations.  Yes, I was also outraged at the lack of responsibility shown by the people protesting and being in such close proximity... and as I said, I don't remember seeing any gov officials doing it without a mask..  But I think about the reasons why all those people were out there.  They were angry.  Angry at a specific event that's happened far too many times, and protest marches are what the American people do in those times.  And when I saw those Gov officials supporting them and walking with them (again, both Dems and Reps), to me it was simply to show some solidarity, and of course to win some points for themselves.

Still, none of that compares to a scheduled rally where you have time and manpower to keep people safe, but don't.

No, it was the Trump people who initially didn't want debates, then when they fell behind, suddenly wanted more debates and earlier.

The Biden campaign is sticking to the original agreed upon format that has been used in every election, "Neutral" moderators (no one from AON or Sinclair), 3 debates.

Debates are a waste of time, we know Trump will spend the whole time throwing gratuitous insults and puffing out his chest, Biden should just borrow a line from Reagan: "There he goes again" every time Trump lies. It's not like we don't know Trump and Biden.

RIGHT...they have then started to back track about how they shouldn't. You are seeing stories pop up in the media now about how they should re think them etc. Why is that? It's setting the groundwork.

i haven't seen any of this. do you have a link to a report?

Two things can be stupid with respect to COVID 19 at the same time.

I havent heard anything about terrorism in awhile.  Is ISIS and al-Qaeda and whatever other groups not around anymore?  Is it the media just isnt reporting on them with covid and protests being front and center?

Sorry I dont really watch the news.  Just what I see and hear at work or from friends talking about things.

Just some stories I saw posted on a few media outlets. I'll try to find the links after work. One was an opinion piece. Biden said 120 million people died yesterday from Covid. I don't blame them for not wanting him on a stage. He can't speak for 5 minutes.

The COVID debate garbage needs to stop.  It's politicized by everyone.  The case # graphs without context need to stop too.

I know the key numbers for my state.  I don't for other states or other countries.  They key numbers may be scarier, or more comforting that we know...I'm not going to argue either way.  But this is what we need...followed by a frank discussion.

Graph it out by state and for the whole country: daily new tests, daily new cases, daily new admissions, daily new intubations, daily new deaths, percentage ventilator capacity.  Retrospectively grab the data from March 1, and plot it out to each new day.  This will graphically show you the true disease burden.  We've got deaths (which is very unreliable), we've got cases...but we don't have the context of vents and tests.

There was an enormous death spike today simply because of the addition of "probable deaths."

It is a somewhat less proactive approach, but I think decisions, at this point, really need to be based upon intubations and ventilator capacity, not new cases.  The vaccine is not on the horizon and the virus is not getting squashed out.  If the burden is manageable, the gradual reopening should continue despite a spike in cases.

Top 5 are probably Wilson, Mahomes, Rodgers, Wentz, Stafford. Not ordered.

You keep saying this, but I have not seen you adduce any evidence.

Ahhh, the age of misinformation. What an interesting time in our country. No one knows what is true and what is not. I am very curious to see what happens in this country over the next few years. Interesting times.

Look, I'm not going to take sides in the who can put up the worse candidate sweepstakes, but this is a bad idea when trying to defend Trump, honestly, considering the amount of mistakes and moronic statements Trump has made. Between the Continental Army taking over airports, the windmill cancer and all the other ridiculous things he said over time...it's not a winning argument.

Kist and Solak discusses Jamal Adams and both agreed that the cost of giving up a premium pick and paying him market rate was untenable for Philly and agreed that he’s a souped up Jenkins in Philly.

Yeah, and I hear people go over his words with a magnifying glass. If he said that it would be all people on here were talking about and all we'd hear in the media.

Scouts can be so damn dumb.

He's wrong.  Our insurance and payment system is inefficient, absolutely.

Medicare for all, however, would be dangerous if not well thought out and meticulously planned.  People need to accept the fact that it's a little more complex to deliver healthcare to a country of 330m obese non compliant people with horrible diets than it is to do so in a country of 37m people with less obesity.

Comparing healthcare strategies to Canada is just silly.

Americans want their healthcare elite, fast, and cheap.  Pick 2 of the 3.

31 out of 32 industrialized countries have managed to figure it out, i dont think " America is too stupid and fat to have healthcare" is a good slogan😄

yeah, the president tends to garner a lot of attention.  anyway, both candidates are known for misspeaking. one is also known for outright lying a lot of the time. the debates will be must see tv.
