They’re still there, but who is there to terrorize right now? They’re not gonna go house to house.

Dude look around the country.  Large groups of people are gathering to protest.  I'm actually shocked their hasn't been a mass shooting or someone trying to blow off a bomb in these crowds.  Hope it doesnt happen of course but there are plenty of large groups of Americans for them to target.  With the country like it is, it would be a perfect time for a terrorist group to strike.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Didn't even see him in the top 10

Huh?

Any Dem (or Rep) leaders I remember seeing march all had masks on.  I could be wrong, I haven't watched everything.

But also, those were organic.  They weren't scheduled rally's.  And the majority of the protesters were wearing masks as well.

Not sure where you're seeing a double standard.

More football

Only two ahead of wentz i think you could make the case wentz is right there is Lamar jackson and watson. Lamar was incredible last year but I’d like to see him do it Again. His rookie year he was solid but like wentz exploded his second season. To me watson and wentz are close. Frankly outside of mahomes those are the two QBs I’d take if we were going QBs under 30.

Don’t know how cam newton is 10. Literally he hasn’t been great in a couple years and is breaking down physically. Also think tannehill is way too high for a guy who may have just gotten hot for 8 games and in the playoffs henry carried him. Also some guys i move in front of baker mayfield like Goff, drew lock, darnold and even burrow. But then again i didn’t like mayfield out of college and last year with a ton of weapons he didn’t look good. I rather have any of those four over him and i don’t particularly like Goff.

Pence was literally just asked the question.... "How can you tell people to listen to and obey local officials and then have events in OK and Tulsa where you allow thousands of people to be crammed shoulder to shoulder into enclosed areas without masks, after which dozens and dozens of secret service and campaign officials then tested positive for covid?  How does the campaign justify that"

His answer...  "Freedom of Speech and Right to Assemble", and then he tried to change the subject, failed, and then ended the briefing.

Sadly, it is debatable whether Pence is as dumb as Trump.

Green, you are better than that. You have to be a mental contortionist to not see the double standard. I said this a few pages back, but like a week before this someone opening a gym was going to kill us all.

One week later...mask or not...they were in the middle of thousands of people. They supported them for weeks. Democrats can do what they want. The President having a rally is the end of the world. It is hypocrisy.

Sorry I dont really watch the news.  Just what I see and hear at work or from friends talking about things.

Still around, just doing smaller guerrilla attacks so not as much news coverage. Also using COVID as propaganda, saying this is Gods punishment  for themselves distancing from their beliefs and how they need to be stronger.

Two things can be stupid with respect to COVID 19 at the same time.

Definitely a strong counterpoint lol, but the list itself is obvious clickbait. Cam at 10 and Brees at 16(!) are the most egregious. Beyond that, there are the rankings of Tannehill and Murray, which are too high. And I'm not sure how anyone could have watched Derek Carr play football in 2019 and said he is a top-20 QB. QB rating be damned, he was downright terrible

Yeah, but silent on one then outrage over another is a double standard. Now the left is starting to push the we can't have debates because of Corona BS. That is to cover Biden. There is no excuse why the two of them can't be on a stage 20 feet apart with just the moderators. The crowd is always told to be quiet anyway. It's ridiculous. Everything with Covid is a problem except the things that matter to their base. It is all political.

Ronald Reagan. Speculation is that we had our first woman president in 87 and 88 - Nancy.

They have never been much of a danger here, since 9-11, which was the product of a good plan and awful US security (then we overreacted the other direction, I used to fly internationally on a regular basis in 1998-99, security at Heathrow and Frankfurt >>> security in US airports). More Americans have been killed by right wing extremists than Muslim terrorists since that day.

In Europe, ISIS has been more of a threat, but even then it's been pretty limited, it's just that a terror attack fires up the imagination and triggers media coverage - it's dramatic, whereas car crashes occur usually without cameras (we don't see the drunk driver weaving for 2 miles before he takes out the family of four). As we've seen with COVID, people dying alone in the ICU barely register in the public consciousness.

Terror isn't something new, go back 100 years and it's not much different, different motivations, same result.

Joseph Conrad:  The Secret Agent caught the gist of it, but Conrad was always ahead of his time.

I have not heard anything regarding debates.
I don’t care much one way or the other. I think the current form of Presidential debates are useless.

When Pence was giving his update earlier, some reporter ripped into him for Trump having rallies in OK and AZ this week, but conveniently failed to bring up that we had thousands of people in the streets of cities protesting disregarding social distancing and gatherings just a few weeks ago. Pence's response was that "Freedom of assembly is in the constitution" which applies to both sides. If you have a problem with one, you have to have a problem with the other morals aside and just going off of science.

I'm of the belief that it's Biden's strategy to stay underground until the election. To make minimal or virtual appearances just to pop up every once in a while to remind people that he's actually running for president. You can attribute it to the virus, his own personal health, or hoping that enough people will just vote for Biden because they don't want Trump. I don't think it's a wise strategy, but we'll see how it plays out.

No, it was the Trump people who initially didn't want debates, then when they fell behind, suddenly wanted more debates and earlier.

The Biden campaign is sticking to the original agreed upon format that has been used in every election, "Neutral" moderators (no one from AON or Sinclair), 3 debates.

Debates are a waste of time, we know Trump will spend the whole time throwing gratuitous insults and puffing out his chest, Biden should just borrow a line from Reagan: "There he goes again" every time Trump lies. It's not like we don't know Trump and Biden.

It's a wise strategy for a simple reason, elections like this are about the incumbent, not the challenger.

So by keeping a low profile, Biden keeps the attention on Trump, who is doing his best to self-destruct.

I'll give him a pass on Brees and Brady.  Both are future HOFers but have shown very serious signs of decline recently so they're going to be the hardest types to rank IMO.  Murray does seem pretty optimistic but Sims isn't the first talking head I've seen to mention expecting a big jump from him so who knows.  Can't say I've watched enough of him to comment too much.  Agree on Cam, Tannehill and Carr though.

So change the damn law. Or is that too hard for you?

Actually they tried, there was bipartisan consensus to resolve the DACA issue, and a comprehensive solution could have been worked out.
The racists in the Trump administration, led by Steve Miller (nothing weirder than a white supremacist Jew), blocked it.

"Also defeated was a plan by a bipartisan group of senators who offered a compromise that would have shielded the young immigrants and financed Trump’s demands for money to build his coveted border wall with Mexico, though more gradually than he wants. Eight Republicans joined most Democrats in backing that plan, but it fell short after the White House threatened a veto and GOP leaders opposed it."

Obviously they would prefer you not have to go out and have a protest, but one side is still preaching about wearing masks and doing your best to follow CDC guidelines, while the other wants to pretend this pandemic is over and made wearing a mask a political stance.

100K Trump supporters in one huge arena who believes Trump’s lie about this not being that bad...That would have been a massive hot spot for Covid. How many of them do you think were gonna wear masks? It was very stupid to put people’s lives at risk like that.

Can the Biden campaign invite Trump’s 28+ accusers, plus an assortment of porn stars and nude models to sit in the front row for the debate this time around?  I might actually tune in if there is some heckling allowed.

So enforcing immigration laws, passed by congress, is racist? Every illegal that comes here is a poke in the eye of those who did it legally

My family cam here in the early 1900s to escape the Bolshevik revolution

If you want to change immigration laws, fair enough. Until then follow the law

Most of the illegal immigrants in this country didn't come through the southern border. Just most of the brown immigrants - you know - from those south american sh** H*le countries. I'm all for enforcing the law which is why we need more judges to process those immigration cases. But enforcing the law should include all illegal immigrants. Trumps wall only targets the southern border and brown immigrants. "The wall" is just red meat for the right wing - we already have border wall in place where it makes sense. And wasn't Mexico suppose to pay for Trumps wall? what happened to that?
