LMAO nobody is "my boy",but seems you have one.

I'll tell you who my boy is.   He is going to Miami for game 5 and should be the MVP.    Seems like yesterday DDD and I were talking hoops with the Sixers tanking for Wiggins...  I told him Kansas has this big guy Embiid... jumps off the screen with that athletic ability. I hope we get this guy.

But with Ham... the change of the subject and the reaching for stats to spin tells the story.    We all know Hurts is a stud athlete... he has to prove he can do the fundamentals of the QB position well enough to be paid the big money ...or he will be out.   It is what it is.  Doug didn't want to coach him... Siri inherited him... you can bet if one is blamed for this next season....it's not going to be the 2nd coach.

Can’t say Pedey didn’t want to coach him. Pedey and Wentz were practically married together. Yet there were leaks of a riff between them with a player not being coachable. Both coaches inherited Hurts from GM decision. Then Hurts overtook Wentz by winning over the team. Any coach will work that kind of guy. Pedey chose to get fired by backing his friends and coaches that earned his trust. Front office and owner thought the SB victory was more their doing than the HC.

It's ok...we just live on different planets.

Let's clarify.   You think Hurts is the 8th most accurate QB in the NFL.

Like if you had to pick 8 guys to make an accurate throw ( that's not a screen pass, slant or rub route)   you would select Hurts as one of them?

I don’t quite agree with this. I root for the guy….especially overcoming everything. Being able to call a play in the huddle isn’t moving the needle that much for me though. As basic as it gets. He has a very strong arm and some quality accuracy. Not just the scare of the knee injury. Durability is a question mark. NFL pretty different situation to pass. You need to avoid the best athletes in the world….that are large …..to get passes off plenty. The league has clearly been evolving to adjust to having to deal with Bosa and Chase Young type monsters(and not talking about double teaming them).

The only concern with his durability is the knee holding up so yea durability is a concern but it was a given with the comment of scare of the knee your not adding anything to the comment literally say the same exact thing.

As for style of QB Brady still one of the best and he isn’t running around. Burrow isn’t really a runner. Being able to maneuver in the pocket and get the ball out quick will trump any mobile QB running around for 5 secs. If it wasn’t for Strongs knee I’d have way more concerns about Hurts durability with his style of play vs Strong being a more traditional pocket QB

As for just calling plays in the huddle that is massive for todays QBs because most of them don’t huddle anymore. To take it a step further Strong didn’t just call plays in the huddle he was given control at the LoS he could audible and change plays based on what he read from the defense that another huge trait for a QB

Anyone who watched games last year could see that Hurts isn’t accurate

Was missing WIDE Open guys left and right couple times you get see the frustration on Smith from the misses

Once AGAIN,this was playing teams with a multitude of injuries. I still don't know why you cannot understand this. I expect points to be put up vs crap teams(and we still didn't make the top 10?). This has zero to do with putting points up against better defenses

"The entire locker room praised Jalen for his self-awareness and accountability in moments where he failed to put the team in a better position to win" I love this part. YO, forget the "accountability"( although Reagor could use alot of it) because accountability doesn't win games. If you're beating good teams, noone gives a rats A about you accountability because you don't need accountability when you win games

Hmmm wonder how Wentz would have done if we had gone out of our way to provide the weapons we have given Hurts. Wentz basically had Ertz and not much else.Really you can make no comparison

Even the Eagles do not think Hurts is the answer Ham. But you obviously know more than they do! Look, it is obvious that Hurts needs to perform this year or he is gone, yet you feel he has already done enough for some reason. You are the only one, including the Eagles...... smh

Look, I am rooting for him to do what everyone needs him to do, but I am not hanging my hat on it.

Again as many of have said it’s simply that Hurts hasn’t shown he can win with his arm. If doesn’t show that this year he will be gone. Siri could t run the offense he wanted last year having to alter it greatly to cater to Hurts limitations as a passer. Lurie/Howie believe that to win you have to be able to pass.

The idea that we are going to go all in to be this run first heavy teams just isn’t realistic. We did it last season out of necessity. If that doesn’t change Hurts won’t be here long.

Wasn’t this past season a one year audition? Now again this year is supposedly a one year audition.

Why do you have to wonder???  2017 already showed you.... the Panthers,  Rams and Broncos that year were good teams with very good defenses ... lit up the scoreboard.

And the team tried every avenue to find an upgrade and got stuck settling with Hurts not a huge confidence boost

One more year of this then we can get back to normal.

Eagles home opener is week 2 MNF vs the Vikings

In a perfect world it should have been. However, because there was no clear cut QB available in the draft, looks like the Eagles elected to give him more ammo and another chance once he made the play-offs. This will either be his last or they will re-sign him to a multi-year deal. His Passing stats are what they will be looking at. ONLY his passing stats. No Run First QB had ever made it to the SB and stood around for awhile. Hurts needs to stay in the pocket and become a passer first. We all look and say "He runs great!", but that is not what the Eagles want.
