Sounds like St Nick's signing w/ the Colts

Be funny if he does better than Wentz did there if he got to play

I believe this falls in line with the majority of the members' expectations, on this section of the board, of our team as far as wins:

NFC divisions

East – Eagles: Last year's playoff appearance caught many by surprise, but a division title in 2022 should not. Jalen Hurts will have every opportunity to thrive with an upgraded cast around him. AJ Brown will change how teams can defend them. The defensive line has new depth. The rest of the division is spiraling in my estimation. Stopping their run game is a bear and now they can capitalize more if you stack the box. Ball control can take you to a division title, especially in the NFC Least. At +250 to win the division I see value here.

I think we have all agreed on 10 wins, possibly 11. Should be enough to win the division. Easy schedule,no excuses if everyone stays healthy

Yes, my ultimate expectation (past the amount of W's) is to win 1 playoff game AT minimum.

That doesn’t actually compute. When I looked they had our whole division as the easiest schedule. So we all playing. Pretty much the same. Division title you can’t hang on schedule. Gotta stomp out our enemies head to head.

I would imagine their goal is to rush Hurts from the defensive left side...flush him to roll left and then the LB or DB that was in short zone finishes off the play..forcing him to throw.   I think if he can figure things out passing when moving left, then the rest will come.  If not, good teams will force him in that situation all game

Sounds fairly basic. Fairly standard game plan vs any QB. He’s seen and faced that plenty I would assume.

Opportunity could be real. Ryan is ancient. But the guy has been incredibly durable. Smart guy that gets the ball out.

So how many inter divisional games do we win?.Out of those 6 games what is out record?.I have my thought already in

The only game I'm leaning towards the opponent is GB, and that's just because I think AR is the best QB of this era - that includes TB12. With our depth, 10 wins is my low bar for this season

Run first team like the Titans(maybe the #1,#2 RB's in the league). Foles is more of a game manager(as we saw in the SB run). Not sure they have the players like we had for that run, other than their RB. Pascal was an important piece as an outlet/safety valve WR,but he is here now

I think the best game of this season will be vs the Vikes. I believe this will be an old fashioned "beat 'em up" old school bash a thon. Game 2 of the season and a terrific test to see what Hurts has improved on(or not). Should be close. This was my "hinge game" leading to 10 or 11 wins if we take this one. They are far more experienced than us with superb talent on offense and Hurts will have to beat them

Why doesn't that compute????

Barnett and Sweat are still both so young. A bunch of big time experience those guys have earned. I don’t know what their role will be this year though. 4-3 Barnett on run downs and Sweat pass rush. If we truly run both fronts this season. They would be big on teams we prefer the 4-3 matchup. Sweat I would think could be good as a rush OLB. But that position seems very crowded. Reddick and Graham I think would be up first. Can Barnett play DE for 3-4?

I wouldn’t call them so young one is 25(Sweat)the other turns 26(Barnett) and they are entering there 5th and 6th seasons as pros.

Definitely should be seeing guys that are ready to breakout they are entering there peak years

I think Rodgers might be the most talented sure not sure I’d call him the best though just my opinion.

Brady just wins hard for me to say he isn’t the best.

Mahomes and Allen both pushing Rodgers for the most talented now those two are scary good in different ways.

Not really your not doing that game plan vs Brady would just pick you apart. Rodgers you send extra guys to often will shred you with his arm. Basically the same with all the top QBs.

Seeing and facing it and beating it are two completely different things and Hurts hasn’t shown yet that he can win with his arm. And we won’t beat the better teams if he can’t

Honestly I’ll say 3-3 in the division.
NY had played us tough seem to have a beat on how to play Hurts our offense has really struggled vs them.

Washington without a 3rd string QB in likely a closer game then last year

Dallas can we keep pace??? Even without Amari the Dallas O will be potent.

Been really interested in Carson Strong as I think he just may become the smartest QB we currently have. Here's the info and prognosis of his injuries and ops;

https://steelersdepot.com/2022/02/the-doctor-is-in-what-to-make-of-carson-strongs-knee-issue/

Interesting read about the knee. Hope the knee holds up for him. Clearly had an nfl caliber arm watching him play.

As for the NFCE, I see us anywhere from 4-6 wins. Our DL should overwhelm dullass's OL. Dak made his living on short stuff last yr, we should be better at defending that both w/ the pass rush and the secondary. Zeke seems to be going downhill since be overused early and getting paid. They still have another good RB but there again we've gotten better players vs the run. We could sweep them but expect at least a split. If we have things wrapped up late, the last gnats game we may rest our players.

Yeah, obviously didn't watch Nevada and don't put a lot into highlight reels, but his reads, arm and accuracy is impressive - of course vs some pretty underwhelming competition.
