But also helps when you have ammo. We sure had draft ammo this year.

Callcattsrra hasn’t done anything either.

Really getting nothing from these draftees. So tough to call it the best draft day. Not killing all rookies here. Just no impact so far.

Jurgens hasn’t played. Round two. Dean hasn’t played round three. Davis limited role in one formation. Now hurt. I don’t know if this adds up.

Got another LB hasn’t really played either.

Again.... 10-1...and future picks along with guys getting intangibles.... looking good !!!

And ammo going forward too.

But now only one starting S. I like Blankenship. But better as a third dime type  right now. It’s a problem.

Goedert out is a problem.

So you would trade a 3rd, 1st and 2nd for a backup TE or S?   Saints mentality.

If we traded back 19(my plan) we pick up that third round pick. So still get Dean. Even though he’s done nothing. Actually still believe in him alsoZ

How is a getting a good player this year bad compared to the crapshoot of next years Saints pick?

Other than the fact it most likely will be a top 10 pick? Possibly A top5?

Yes, All teams have this situation. So your plan is to draft a player to avoid this? OK, Draft a TE and a safety. What happens if Johnson goes down? Well we should have drafted a replacement? What happens if we lose Dickerson? Sanders?  Problem is we cannot cover all bases no matter how you look at it. So you pile up picks in the future if you can. Then you have more picks to add to positions that are weak.... Sounds like a good plan to me. Also, getting a top 10 pick in 2023 when your team is 10-1 this year. Not sure anyone would not like that scenario.....

Stine.... you can marry a smoking hot woman who happens to be your best friend,  do something you really love for a living and make really good money....   but you have to think outside the box here, there may be better alternatives.

agreed, I was just trying to explain to Ham that we could not have handled ALL of the possible scenario's had we that 1 pick, or even two more. We would have had to chosen 2 of the many options, which would have still left us with possible issues due to injury. Ham Brought up TE and Safety, but we also lost a OT, DT and CB. We cannot handle everyone of them with 2 picks. That was what he was trying to convey.

I have no problem him backing up Sanders.

So you would have booted Scott

You can’t follow. Too hard. I’ve tried so many times with you on this. Just kick back. But you just aren’t understanding what I’m saying.

Nope, you never went pick by pick who you would have taken. So I am following fine, you just fail to answer questions when presented to you. You'd make a great politician with the dodge and weave.

I disagree as to that being the reason it was done.  I just think the media needs that soap opera... and Ham and GB are two guys who fall into place with that kind of stuff.

I do?

Surely... as soon as trade was made you were all about the QB in next draft.  It's a winning deal value wise that makes sense every year.

I’ll give you JJs great conversion from college to NFL. I think a vet helped him even still. But I’m not considering that situation business as usual anyway. My whole life ive heard and seen the benefits vets give the rooks. Been a philosophy to have a pipeline and get a young guy in under the vet. Been many’s thoughts for as long as I’ve watched football. So just common knowledge stuff here. Also saw how badly our team was doing not having any real vet in the WR room last year. Big negative that held us back.

Every team has vets, you can't avoid them, doesn't mean I need to go out and spend money to get one.We pay a staff for development and theoretically they should know every "tip" in the book because that is their job

Nah, you guys andmedia try to put too much on the QB.

I thought he was the team leader?? Don't you continually pound that point? On the field he is the "general" The "troops" win or lose under his leadership and SKILLS. W or L there are always 2 responsible the most. Those are the QB and the coach

Yep,we're 10-1 and these guys aren't even playing yet LOL.

At the time it was a possibility yes? Everyone(except ham) was waiting to see if Hurts could perform. You can't tell me last year we could have known playing vs trash teams and 3rd string QB's and if you DO need a QB having 2 firsts sure makes that a possible scenario. What if Hurts won't agree to a new contract and he thinks he is worth 70 million a year? You think Howie would pay that?

Davis' 21 day practice window has been opened.

With the holidays approaching, it's really nice to know that I have won the Nigerian lottery 5 times just THIS week!!!! 🤣🙄
