Has Dream Team feel for the defense...doubling down on the DL and CBs... letting the middle of the field a little suspect?   Still early though...but just curious.

" the offense is so good, the defense is built to play with a lead"  ....that kind of stupidity I hope is past us.

Whelp I guess Ceedy Duce it didn’t really pay off the gamble after all. 8 mil is what we figured the Saints offered before he was traded to us.

I’m not really sure why he’s not an Eagles still

Right.. everything is a little baffling this offseason to me.

Free agency is a little multidimensional....   you can look at it from one particular teams viewpoint... or the entire league.

For me right now, I'm just baffled a little by some of these league wide contracts.  Edwards I thought would get a little more, same with Seamulo.   Probably Bradberry too.   Hargrave I guess due to position but idk, just think it's too high for him...going forward.

Sanders right as expected..  but too high for me compared to some of these other RBs.   I'm not in love with Paying Mariota the 5 to 8 mil.

It is what it is I guess.

Good insurance though. He plays like Hurts,Shew didn't. And I fully suspect we can compete for the division, but it will be harder. The NFCE is back!

Sad,doubt the Lions will contend. We could be in the mix for the division again. he could have made another run possibly LOL. Seems weird to me also he would sign for 8 mil with a non contender. Onward we go

I think the lions are trending upward for sure.  Just seems like CGJ wants the prove it one year deal... I think the Eagles wanted longer term to lower the cap hit..   but who knows.

We now have one decent comp pick... and 3 picks in the 220s... yay!!!

Why do you say NFC East is back?

Both Gnats and Boyz made some nice moves despite who they lost. Wuss still weak, but better than last year

So whom else is out there at S. All of them should be under 8

Idk.. I think the Giants losses are going to be key for them.

Dallas going to lose a few key guys too.  Pollard coming off injury now needing to be #1 guy.  Idk.

I think the 2023 matchups...  AFC East vs South... and NFC West vs  North is going to be much more difficult... that's half the season right there.

Mills is out there last I knew. If strictly S position I would sign him. I do love his game as the field shrinks.

Lions look to be the best team in the North I’d say.

8 mil counts toward the cap and comp pick....idk, unless he gets cut?  I don't see it, but who knows.

Idk...the Lions were a high scoring team...good young DL...brutal secondary.  They just got 3 nice players in free agency in their secondary.

Bears were worst team in football.  Some nice signings, probably get them to 8-10 wins.

Honestly,  I could see that division finish in any order.

Well off to Bass Pro

Lots more big name moves than usual, hard to gauge anyone right now

Usually I look at the way the teams played toward the end of the season... and what they did as far as addressing weaknesses.    The big names are usually the skill positions, which don't necessarily translate into wins as much as improving a line or a finishing off a group that was a weakness.   The flash signings translate in fantasy,  not so much in wins.

If Detroit's pass coverage turns from a weakness to a strength... they could easily take a huge step forward from the 9 wins. Chicago added some skill guys, will help fantasy wise, and a few more wins too,but they started at the very bottom.

As for NFC east teams..  I think 2022 records are a little inflated due to the schedule.   I don't see the same results in 2023 as far as wins for Philly, Dallas and NY.
