Oh I watch very well. I was in the NFL for a very small time, lol. Long enough to get a practice jersey lol. So I watch games very carefully. I see a QB getting pressured so fast and no recs getting open. This takes a toll on a QB and gets him in bad habits of not trusting recs, slow to pulling the trigger and focusing on one player that he trusts.

I think Doug does a horrible job helping Wentz. Bad play calls for 1. running the ball is the best way to get your QB more comfortable. Ease into the routes. Doug sadly runs the same 3 route combo more then half the game(Comeback, mid hitch, deep). The deep is always the number 1 read which when your oline is playing that bad is a horrible choice. Dougs play designs are meant for top route running WRs that can get separation by there skills. We need more plays deigned to create separation which Doug fails to understand.

Well, we have to agree that Doug is not helping Wentz. Wentz has played terrible all year. I will also agree that the O-Line has not helped. But when he has had time he just screws it up anyways, or gets sacked as I mentioned above. Anyway, this team is a mess. I do not think anything or anyone will be able to reverse it now.....

Why was Herbig sitting last Sunday? Why do we always appeal to JP? He played terrible Sunday. Malaita was a huge upgrade when he came in....

BOOM So we have a combo of errors in coaching, play calling, an inefficient O line and  QB who stares down the 1 receiver he trusts, and can't get the ball out to him fast enough -beautiful(NOT)

Been saying this forever. Mailata is my future LOT. Put him there and LEAVE HIM THERE. If Dillard can take his job later,so be it. Or Dillard at LOG. JP was signed as a ROG. He can play there or not at all as far as I am concerned

Time to suit up bud, we need you lol. What position were you vying for?

Hand injury is why Herbig was out was inactivate not his call i image he wanted to play

So here is the question I will pose to all here. I still don't like the Hurts pick, and to be frank I don't see him as my future QB(unlike Taysom Hill who went UNDRAFTED). That being said,do we revamp Wentz ,or is he now another "Bradford"? If Fields(OSU QB) fell into your lap at pick 1,would you pull that trigger?

As for JP yup was bad the whole OL was terrible vs the Browns.... Lane got beat couple times easily... JP let guys run around him he did look the same after he went down in the game... Semaulo at least he can say he was knocking off some rust not playing since week what 2 but he got beat(him and JP gave up a terrible sack that led to the safety let Veron split right between them)...

Biggest issue I have is the OL was struggling in pass pro but we were dominating on the ground they were opening holes stick with it especially in that kind of weather game and we were not ever that far away until the end

Nope I wouldn’t draft a QB...

A. Wentz is under contract can’t do much with him until next year

B. Did just spend a 2nd on Hurts have to see what we have in him

A) So he is under contract. He was under contract when we drafted Hurts? B) Unless Hurts can show me more than the 2 plays he knows, I don't want him C) We have Suds still (who doesn't even get the snap count Hurts does)

So 93 votes no to my question( I am taking a poll lol)

I wondered that as well.  I thought he was injured but learned (from Doug’s PC) that  Herbig was a healthy scratch.  Weird considering he beat out Pryor earlier in the offseason and was actually playing relatively well after some lumps early on.  He was getting better ... Pryor just stinks.

BG, that brings up the question was he really hurt or did someone from upstairs tell Doug he was unavailable to play? I keep hearing rumors that Doug  has no say who suits up on game day. I hope it is just that, rumors. Still, if that is happening, it just adds to the total mess this organization is in. Heck, even with a bad hand he would have been better than who played.....

I think Wentz's problems are fixable, but we need to have patience. He has to get used to playing with Fulgham and Reagor. We need to get some continuity on the offensive line. Now we have backups with experience, like Opeta, Mailata, Driscoll and Herbig. All of those guys will be here for the next few years, as either starters or key backups, so there won't be an many issues when they have to play.

I am confident that the playcalling will improve. There are things that are working each week. I think the gameplan will start to reflect that.

It is frustrating right now because we are losing games we should be winning. But I think things will get better.

Agreed. That was why I was scratching my head when I heard Wentz was off during the bye week instead of working with the WR's. Seems to me that would have been time well spent, no?

I read the roob points. Kotite  now has a higher winning percentage than Doug and Lurie has never kept a coach with this low of a winning percentage. The slow decline since 2017 should be the last nail.

Doug is done this season. We have to begin to look to the future now. There are things we can do. We can find out if our supposed 'steal of the  2nd round,' worth more than need positions, was actually worth it. I've heard more speculative negative assumption about how this kid can play than he warrants. It's prejudgement, and it's not fair. Not saying it is, as his blind critics are from all races, but It could be interpreted as racism. If we want to win next season and not just lament this one, we have to get ahead of the drama taking place right now.

The only problem with firing Doug and putting in Duce, and benching Wentz for Hurts, is that the team might start winning games, and we probably don't want to do that. When the tank runs you over, you may as well embrace it. Still our running game is too good to waste with a coach that can't call an offense. The benefit of knowing what we have in Hurts; something that can only be evaluated after multiple starts, is invaluable, perhaps crucial at this time. It's the only thing the team can accomplish positively at this point. To think otherwise is just delusional.

Lol so we draft fields and he sits behind Wentz do we go into the following draft saying we need to draft another guy because Fields doesn’t see the field either...

Hurts can’t show he can play unless you know we play him lol. He doesn’t call the plays he can’t help how our staff is using him right now

Like saying the Packers need to draft another QB to replace Rodgers when he retires because Jordan Love hasn’t shown anything

I’m not saying we won’t need to draft another QB but definitely want to know what we have before I do so... Also I wouldn’t draft a new QB until we got a new HC and hopefully GM.

Lots of evidence that Doug doesn’t have nearly as much power as he likely should as a HC.... Start when he got hired seem like the FO chose Schwartz as DC not Doug. Then the Groh situation Doug backing him for him only to get fired couple days later. Can’t image Doug was on board with drafting Hurts image he wouldn’t players that would help the team. The whole JP situation this year

Wouldnt shock me I’d Doug doesn’t get say on who on roster off it or active

Remember when Gruden kept acquiring quarterbacks in Tampa Bay? Didn't he have like 4 or 5 at one point? LMAO!

I understand QB's having a bad game once in awhile. It happens to everyone. But this string of "lousy" is not that. If Wentz's problems are fixable, why haven't they been fixed by now? This isn't week 2 here and I saw nothing last game that tells me his problems are being fixed. So IDK. I like your optimism, but we were also optimistic about Bradford and TBH,this is starting to look all too familiar
