Because teams will pay crazy amounts for QBs.  Unfortunately for the Eagles they have a lot of rebuilding to do, especially on a completely neglected defensive side of the ball that they aren't in a situation where trading for Watson on a huge contract makes sense for them. 

 

That's why a team like the Broncos who are in a far better position to win in the near future if they get a quality QB make a lot more sense to make a big trade for a QB like Watson. The Eagles are not in a position to win as their defense is going to drop off the side of a cliff in the next couple years.

I think and I could be wrong but I think the prosecutors think they'll have a better chance Winning each individual case civilly than they would trying it as one big shebang with 22 witnesses.

Also each victims experience is unique and all of them at separate times and none of them knew each other.

It's not like Watson sexually assaulted 22 women at the same time or in the same way or in the same place. The extenuating circumstances vary in each case.

Mike florio talked about it similar yesterday on wip. If he’s not placed on the commissioner exempt list and actually plays this year at some point he believed he’s a eagle or a bronco this year. Also thinks the packers eventually trade rodgers if he shows up to camp and the Broncos are in on rodgers and want him.

I will likely be done with the Eagles if they acquire Watson - at least until Roseman is gone.

Just pointing we have a Jewish owner and GM and they allowed desean jackson to go on an antisemitic rant and gave him a slap on the wrist saying. "He didn’t know”. Think about that for a second and they still had him on the roster cause winning mattered more to them. They’ve also signed a guy like Vick (granted served his time and came out a changed guy), kept Riley cooper and didn’t the draft a kid who got arrested stealing xbox’s. Not saying what watson allegedly did isn’t way worse than those but it’s not like the eagles haven’t been known to give second chances

I think the niners depends on if Jimmy G stays healthy. When he has they’ve actually been good. I know they have lance but i don’t think he’s ready to play yet. 

also would bet the cardinals finish ahead of seattle. I think Seattle’s issues late last year are going to carry over. 

Broncos and packers records could change depending on what happens with rodgers. 

i think the dolphins winning 11 games is a lot of faith in Tua. I see them closer to 7 to 9 wins 

Panthers could surprise if ruhle can get darnold playing well. I think getting away from the jets and fired HC Gase will help. Seems like that’s a good key to career success lol

Yep, good point.

Also, the difference between "giving someone a second chance” and compiling a team of scum bags likely depends on which team you are a fan of.  The later is how we describe the Cowboys, the former is what we call it when we bring in those guys.

But, overall, if you want to piece together a talented pro football team, you are going to have to accept characters like these on your team.  Sometimes their transgressions are more public than others, but every team has them.
