Philadelphia is just dominating the practice scene. What a time to be a fan.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I think Taylor and Jackson are the only IR guys

I know the preseason strategy has been criticized, but we are really healthy going into this season at least. Which was the goal.

Now let's see what happens during the part the counts and how bad those missed reps hurt.

You wonder if they still sign a RB once the IR moves are made.  If they intended to sign Howard to the active roster I don't think they would have announced him as an official PS guy.

I really wish they would sign more guys from other teams to the PS.

But since you're allowed to activate two players off your practice squad on game day, there's no real reason to have him on your 53-man roster at the moment. He can still play against the Falcons. It's basically the same thing, just dressed up a little differently.

Now, granted, you can only do this a limited of times per player during the season. But right now, the count for Howard dressing for games is at zero. When it gets to two (I think that's the number), then you can make the appropriate roster move.

Of the guys who weren't signed to the practice squad and could be headed to the active roster once IR moves are made, I would suspect it would Rodgers being the most likely, followed perhaps by Ridgeway.

What has Gandy-Golden shown?  Man amongst boys at Podunk University (same reason I am not sold on Malik Willis).  Not enough to make the 53 at WTF.  Not much last year.  Seems like trading a JAG we know who is more developed for a Jacquet type WR (intrigued with the athleticism), who is not quite a JAG.

That's why he would be a 'developmental' player.  What exactly has JJAW shown to warrant his position on the team?   AGG would be a risk and could blow up in their face, but AGG is a bigger WR than anyone else on the roster, including JJAW.  I'd have gone with JJAW on PS, and claimed AGG.  Fulgham wasn't in danger of being picked up... so you get the chance to see AGG up close, and can still use JJAW on gameday if you choose, due to the PS rules.  But, it doesn't make sense to me to just roll with this limited WR corps and not bring in anyone from a different team.   Just seems like a wasted opportunity to look at some young WR.

As I pointed out, the last few spots on the roster can be used to claim a player that might not agree to play here as a PS player.  Meanwhile, Washington has him back on their PS, and the Eagles get to watch JJAW and Fulgham.

I think the rule is elevations are unlimited but going back to the PS without going through waivers is 2. Because TY McGill was elevated for a lot of games last year.

Have a feeling he gets re-signed at 4pm and Stoll waived and then added to PS. We dont have any TE on the PS right now.

If they intend to put Stoll at PS, why they keep him at the first 53 roster?  They could have cut him yesterday and put him at PS today.

What are the rules this season on moving players between PS and active roster?  Last season they moved players in and out of roster each game.  The same this season?

Teams could only keep young players at PS.  That changed last season due to Covid.  Judging from the PS list, there are some older players in there.  No longer true now.

so nothing new. at all. Yay

So they made the right tough choices since they kept everyone they wanted to keep anyway. This is a good thing.

Biggest surprise was trotting out Ertz to the media call. I guess that means he'll actually be here until around trade deadline time at least. Pretty surprising.

That is so disappointing.

The PS rules are the exact same as last year. As for Stoll, I expect him to stay on the roster. Howie probably is scared to try to get him on the PS after last year.

Two spots open on PS.  None of those spots is secure once Tuesday tryouts begin.

Dude hasn't lost much his entire coaching career.  He starts out 1-6 or something he might lose his mind.

Ya he's had success, but he hasn't lost much because as soon as he starts to he tucks his tail and runs, has 'health problems', etc.

The Steelers signed Christian Miller to their PS.
