So far so good. The Colts keep putting Wentz out there and he’s doing more than enough to convince them he’s the guy, but they aren’t winning a lot. As long as he stays off the Covid list and on the field we are good.

I could definitely see covid costing the Eagles the pick. Hopefully he’ll only miss one game when he gets it.

We know he’s not vaccinated so there’s a potential it could cost us there. We also know he’s injury prone and already injured so that also could cost us. The situation in on a tightrope, but so far so good.

Wentz never was a leader and the way he acted last years just proves it .

Word of other players always seemed to hype Carson up as a great leader, but off the record talk seemed to say otherwise. The article that came out in Philly voice made it seem like a lot of his teammates had issue with him and a article last year implied players were afraid to come out against Carson for fear of repercussions. All in all no one on the team seems all that concerned he’s gone, and it’s clear much of the greatest success the team had was when he wasn’t the quarterback.

They’ve got the Ravens Monday night, doubt they win that one.

I feel like everybody on this thread hoping with anticipation that the Eagles will land the Colts first round pick are Charlie Brown waiting to kick the ball with Lucy as the holder.

Counting on Wentz to stay healthy, good, make the playoffs, and or not get Covid is a foolish endeavor we know. Honestly I think most of us aren’t counting on it, because there is always something with this guy. Ultimately I think more people don’t think this guy will get the job done than think that he will. In the end I’ll be glad this will be over and we can turn the page from this guy,

I mean to be fair to Wentz (and I don't find myself giving him credit very often these days) he hasn't actually missed that many regular season games.

Let's go Ravens. Do your job by winning while leaving Wentz unscathed. I know it's a tough challenge, but you can do it!

Out of his five seasons he has only played a full 16 games twice. His most injured/benched/ regular season games played was 13 and that puts him close to the 70% danger zone. He’s already missed a few snaps this season due to injury, and he’s already injured with a bad foot, and two sprained ankles. We also know how risky he can be with his body and sometimes with the football. There is no certainty whatsoever this guy can get the job done, and from experience we all should expect him not to, because when the Eagles needed him the most he never seemed to be there.

@EazyEaglez even the guy who runs the OTC website is smart enough to figure this out.

I've been saying this all along.  Those hoping for a close Colts loss will have fools gold if their hopes are realized.  Colts are not going to let those conditions attach if this is going to turn out to be a bad year for them anyway - especially given that Wentz is hobbled with an operated on foot and two gimpy ankles.

If the Eagles bench Wentz when he’s healthy, but sit him when he’s healthy they look like fools. If Wentz gets benched he’s gone.

I agree, but…

We don‘t know what was said. If the Eagles were told Wentz plays this season unless he can‘t, I imagine the Colts will keep their word.

We don‘t know how the deal was negotiated. All we can do is speculate.

How does the weak minded Wentz react to another benching? Are his blinded supporters too dumb to realize this guy can’t take another benching?

As has been explained to you countless times, this will be agreed upon by the team.  If the Colts can not make the playoffs, and can get the best LT in the draft, they will talk about it, the GM, the coach, Carson, and come to an agreement.  He is not being "benched", they are making a decision on what is best for the Colts in 2022.  When you talk to a player about the plan, they will sign off on the plan.

Yeah after the Colts see Wentz for like 10 games they’re convinced he’s their guy. 😂🤣😂 They love him so much they’re gonna bench him, and not cause he’s hurt. 😂🤣😂  If they’re l”benching him” for that pick it’s to select their quarterback of the future. Imagine any team benching their franchise quarterback, because of a pick. You’re not as high on Wentz as you think as you keep peddling this nonsense.

They won't bench him, they will come to a mutual agreement and he will have surgery on "X" injury.

You really are naïve if you do not think teams do things to improve draft position.  All you have to do is look at the week 17 2020 Philadelphia Eagles.

Yeah. I want them to keep losing either way. I'll take one of the first picks in the 2nd round and be happy.

Jeez, Wentz is playing well against Baltimore. Looks like the old Wentz.

Magical surgery on a fake injury. He already had that "x” surgery. Yeah I’m sure an NFL player and NFL coach have no problems faking an injury for the sake of Downundermike. 😂🤣😂
The Eagles benched a player for a half of a game and you people think that will be the plan for multiple games. Not for nothing, but if your favorite player agrees to this he’s an absolute loser, and any coach who agrees to that should be fired just like Doug Pederson was and that was just for a half of a game.
