Meh. It's going overboard with it. Declining to mention specific players and injury status because "we still have time to go through that" is a bit much. Everyone knows Sanders isn't playing with a broken hand, it's not a big deal to say they are resting him.

Likely, but I'm not going to be upset about it.   Let him come to that realization on his own.  It's his first time to be in this situation as a HC.

Well this is the point. Those numbers won't be the same come 2024/2025. A lot will change between now and then.

Yep.  It's always cyclic.  Some of those teams will spend huge in free agency and the Eagles will move up the list.

Right now we are on the bottom part of the cycle while still remaining a playoff team.

It's impressive.

One thing wont change.

Howie Roseman reportedly top reason why Brandon Staley ignored Eagles

His hairline might recede a bit. But yeah, he's probably still in here in 3 years....let's hope he gets the next few drafts right, as that will torpedo any issues with the cap, really.

Ya, Howie's gonna look real good when Wentz is successful, multiply playoff wins, maybe superbowl apperance and the eagles are on there 4th qb in 5 years.

Yes, you are correct.  Currently we sit 20 million behind the team in 31st in cap space.  Yes, teams will sign players, cut players, extend players etc, etc.

The concern is, cleaning up the 2020 mess ( and yes I realize some of it was players we extended that will be on the roster ) we have 115.7 million less in cap space for 2024.

If the Eagles move on from some vetereans ( Cox, Brooks, Graham ) and redo the deals of same they may keep around ( Slay, Kelce ) the will be continuing negative impacts into 2024.

Good thing is I am tracking this all on a google sheets, so you can see the continuing impact.  Here is the link.

For the 4th-7th...sure. But I want guys who can flat out play the game in the first two days.We fail too much to take projects early in the draft right now.

Man you are really dumb. You know that if they miss the playoffs, the pick is in the teens? And so you'd rather puff your chest on a message board than have tangible benefits to our team. And Howie doesn't look like such a moron for the Wentz trade, in fact it looks like both sides ended up doing well.

The trade in a bubble looks decent for both teams, the issue is it came to that point due to the FO not giving him the support, drafting better players, and drafting a back up in round 2 when the roster needed to add talent all over.

Yes, but that's all spilled milk essentially.

The guy isn't really a "project".  He had 11 sacks and 5 forced fumbles in his first full college season.  Hutchinson had 14 sacks on the same DL, and he's being talked about as the #1 overall pick.

I'll be there Saturday night, freezing my **** off for a meaningless game if anyone wants to question my fandom face to face

Weather does not look that bad in Baltimore Saturday, plus, it is Big Ben's last game, so is it really meaningless to a Steeler fan like you ??

They could play the game whenever they want for Londoners, and then broadcast the game on delay like they did in the old days for Olympic events.   Nothing wrong with that, and it worked.   The people who need to know 'as it happens', will have access, and the rest can go into a social media blackout for a little while.

This is the way then - I’ll mention it to Roger at our next meeting.

Because the 2019/2020 draft classes are poor, 2022 should be the last year of real cap problems...unless Howie loses his mind in free agency.

Personally, I hope he sits out free agency again this year other than low to mid-tier veterans so we're ready to rock in 2023.

Unless they can snag Mike Williams

Here is the difference in having an elite / franchise QB..........................

That's actually an interesting thought... combine the Thursday night games with the London games.... and have a bye before the London game.  10 days rest on the front side, 10 days on the back side.  And no team has to deal with the travel as a major issue, as they can travel a couple days before hand and travel back the day after.   By the time Sunday rolls around, they are back on a regular schedule.   Also, Londoners get a chance to see almost every team that way.

Makes too much sense though.   Will never happen.

The addition of the 17th game should have prompted a massive bye week change.  2 year for each team and split between 4 static weeks.  4/5 and 12/13.

Blame the QB when in 3 of those one score games the offense scored with plenty of time on the clock but the defense failed to get the ball back (49ers, Tampa & Chargers) and in the final minute of the Giants game Reagor dropped two would be TD passes thst hit him right in the hands.

I have been saying this about Thursday night games for two years.  The only way it works though, is you have the week 1 Thursday night game, but then there would be no Thursday night games until after the week 4 bye weeks start.

I don’t see him as much of a project as some. Guy had 11 sacks this year. Super athletic and healthy.

Eagles never led in the 9ers game, and they were down 17-3 with 3 minutes left, and cut it to one score with 1:05 left.  The offense should have scored more than 3 points in the first 58:55 of the game.

Chargers, sometimes you have to go score for score with a team if you want to win. ( See Nick Foles in SB52 )

Bucs, we were never in that game.

Giants game, maybe we should not have been shut out for the first 3 quarters.  Hurts was hot garbage all day.
