Calm down Karen.  Before this latest tweet we didn't know what this personal leave was in reference too.

It was personal,  aka none of YOUR business.

That doesn't make a lot sense though.  Guys battling injuries that don't practice all week but then play on GameDay. It's a highly unusual weird situation.

Remembering Steve McNair

After Week 12 in 2002, the Tennessee Titans had fallen a game behind the Indianapolis Colts for first place in the AFC South division and their starting quarterback, Steve McNair, was so bruised that he could not practice (and would not for the final five weeks of the season). However, that did not stop McNair from starting the final five games of the season and leading the Titans to the division title and into the AFC championship game

Eagles 28

Panthers 27

Only reason is because I’ll be there.  And I have a pretty good track record.

Bonus Prediction:  Cox gets a sack.

Are you playing linebacker?  If so, then maybe we have a shot.  Eagles 26-Panthers 23.

Bonus prediction-a solid game both sides of the ball.

It's the unwritten rule of this message board apparently.  No speculation allowed of why our high priced RT is set to miss his second straight game.

But those injured guys are going to meetings, are learning the game plan.  You have no idea what the personal situation is, and he may 100% be mentally checked out at the moment because his mind is focused on the personal situation.

Why is this so hard to understand ??

When my Mom passed, I still came to work, but I was just going through the motions, as my mind was elsewhere.

No one is saying you can't speculate, idiot.

You aren't owed an explanation.

I can be in eastern Oklahoma in a day driving straight through and a day and a half if I stop.   Last summer I drove from Tulsa to my house in a day and a half.  Philly to OKC is 21 hours. At Lane’s age, I wouldn’t have blinked an eye at that long of a drive.

If it was an emergency a couple hour flight would get him there quicker is my thinking.   It's not like he can't afford the cost of a flight.  I don't care, but that part struck me as odd.

There is no speculation.  There is facts.  It is a personal matter.  What that matter is, none of our business.

Could be a death in the family, or a terminal diagnosis for a family member, does not matter, we know all we need to know.

Yep.  When my Mom went into hospice, my brother made the drive from Dallas to Spokane in 22 hours.  Map quest says it is a 28 hour drive.  He drove straight through.

There is a big difference between being curious and pulling the 'millionaire entertainer who's salary is paid for by the fans' demand for an explanation.

He is not being curious or wondering, he is demanding an explanation, and @Iggles_Phan quoted his reason why above.

He's an idiot.

Does he also think that maybe he's more athletic and faster than he actually is?  You seem Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray do that sort of thing and they can get away with it because they have ELITE speed, quickness and athletic skills.  Hurts isn't on their level but I think he thinks he is.

It may have worked in college for him, hell Bo Nix is doing that for Auburn right now but there's no way he could in the NFL.

Jackson has been sacked 11 time, Murray and Hurts 8.

Murray has run 23 times for 109 yards, Jackson 42 for 279, Hurts 34 for 226.

Guess it's working as well for him as for Murray and Jackson.

Hurts isn't as fast as those two, but he's a much more powerful runner and can break tackles.

Do we want our QB running and breaking tackles?  🤔.

Some do, some don’t. There isn’t a blanket answer for every situation.

Breaking tackles in the pocket, and when it's a key play (3rd down and you're near the 1st line marker).

Though don't make a habit out of it, but RBs who can break through arm tackles don't get held up for strips, defenders are just happy to bring them down.

Most QBs get injured in the pocket, not running the ball. Look at Cunningham, for example. Wentz was an exception b/c his frame and upright running style made him a target. Hurts runs like a RB, getting low and not giving the headhunter a lot to hit.

Surely eagles practice is more important than the birth of his child? Get him fined

Seriously, it's not even his first kid. Does he not care that the season is on the line Sunday?

Probably starting for Lane at RT again, we'll see how he does.
