I can definitely see it. Living out here they’ve been discussing it for months now and gambo seems to be leading the train. In that division even with the mouths to feed that would really give them another dimension. I also think they could use a corner but i don’t think theyd want to pay the price it’s going to cost for that position to get one of the quality they need.

Fair enough, except....who the hell is Gambo?

Hes an insider out here in Arizona. Basically gets big news for Cardinals, Suns, dbacks, uofa and asu. I’d say coyotes but no one out here cares about them.

I think another team that makes a lot of sense is the colts. But i think they’d have to be in the afc south race when the deadline comes around and actually believe they could do damage in the playoffs. Doyle is ok TE. I think he’s better as a backup. Imo ertz is an upgrade. And Campbell and pascal are inconsistent week to week. Hilton don’t know what he’s going to be when he comes back. They have Pittman as the no. 1. After that a bunch of inconsistency with pass catchers down Hilton.

Do you think a lack of attempts is playing into it? Miles has always seemed to be.....somewhat immature I guess is the way to put it, and I wonder if mentally he's just not in the groove due to lack of touches. You're absolutely right that he needs to stop trying for the home runs, but I wonder how much the lack of consistent touches is affecting him.

I can't get too deep into the psychology of it.  I can really only tell you what I am observing.  He's bouncing too much and not taking what's there.

Yes I think Colts make far more sense, especially because of the Ertz/Wentz connection. I feel like Ertz is probably still here after the deadline though, unfortunately.

Well when your QB rarely throws more than 5 yards down the field…

Yeah i tend to think that too. Cause if something was happening it would’ve already happened. Plus some of these teams you’d have thought would make a move probably are out now. For instances Buffalo cause Knox has played great for them.

i think an interesting team to watch out for is the Bengals. I know uzomah went off for them against the jags but i don’t think he’s that good. If the bengals are competing and playing well i could see them make that move. They have chase, Higgins and Boyd but if the price is right i wouldn’t rule them out.

Sorry watching this breakdown of what Hurts did well, what he missed... is just frustrating. On one drive alone, where we settled for a FG, we had opportunities for easy 3 TD's... and he was bailing early, and just missing wide open guys or not trusting what he see's. Damn this is frustrating. The Offense is working if we just had a real QB

The throw at 1:40 was the one watching the game that I LOVED.   Might be his best throw of the season, frankly.  On time, on target, right read, right trajectory.  Just perfect.

I mentioned it a few pages back, but I think the Bengals upset the Packers this weekend. Their offense is really good, though Mixon is out, and their D has surprised.

Interesting.  He seems to be keying in on his first or second read.  The wide open Devonta is something he has absolutely got to see.

agreed, need way more of that, and less dancing around inside a clean pocket look at the rushers instead of the recievers.

I actually agree on that. I bet the bengals in an upset on draft kings. I think the Packers defense is banged up with Alexander with a bad shoulder and smith down for the year. and they are also down MVS on offense.

I think the biggest surprise to be about the Bengals is their oline is playing really well. Last year they were dumpster fire and it got Joe Burrow hurt. I thought Sewell was the smarter move to make cause he had versatility and could have Williams and Sewell as your bookend tackles. And i loved chase coming out but thought with Boyd and Higgins already in place they should go Oline.

Even if he makes small progress in his pocket dancing.  I don't like when he runs in a circle, turning his back to the entire play while his WR are breaking open only for him to finally circle back around, not see them and then get sacked.

Just keep your eyes downfield at all time.  Move in the pocket, shoot scramble when needed but goodness, stop running the opposite direction.

Quite right. Once his eyes come down he can't reacquire his reads. Randall had that issue big-time when he came up. Wentz certainly did and still does. I've said before, he needs to get quiet feet. When  Driscoll ran his man past the pocket Hurts had a clean platform from which to throw. Now, part of that may have been that he didn't trust Driscoll to make that block.

I would have to go back and look at it but  I think on the 4th and 1 when he ended up throwing the ball away he was worried about Sanders knowing about the blitzer more than knowing the correct read. He should know that he has to get it out to a hot route and that they're not going to be able to block a cover 0 blitz.

The running in a circle part just shows me how uncertain he is at this point.

All QB's miss some stuff, and make mistakes, that happens, all young QB's miss more than their experienced counter parts to be sure.  Hurts has the rest of this year to progress. If near end of season he hasn't made significant progress, we will have a clear direction for the offseason.

Here's my pointless and random observation. After every score we always do the Dirty Dancing climax dance move and its annoying.

Does he also think that maybe he's more athletic and faster than he actually is?  You seem Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray do that sort of thing and they can get away with it because they have ELITE speed, quickness and athletic skills.  Hurts isn't on their level but I think he thinks he is.

It may have worked in college for him, hell Bo Nix is doing that for Auburn right now but there's no way he could in the NFL.

Is this referring to little guy jumping in to OL arms and raising them to the sky?

Yes but its not just OL anymore.

Part of that is running an offense where the average completed throw travels 1.2 yards downfield

I agree with your assessment on it.  I think there's a range of outcomes for him.  I do hope he continues to progress. Right now, absent the availability of a good/great veteran QB, I believe they should give him 2 years.  Part of that is just my concern that they will fall in love with a QB that also has faults.  There's no can't miss prospect at the position.

Second pointless and random observation. Nate Herbig gives the absolute worst PC's. They are so bad they are amazing.

Also if he's speaking to the media that seems to be a clue he's starting this week which means Driscoll is probably starting at RT again.
