I truly don't understand the same people bishing about how bad Hurts is also bishing about us getting players that don't fit Hurt's skillset.  If (when) he sucks next year he's gone.  Why the hell would you draft based around his current skill set in that case?

We turned our 3 firsts plus a 4th/5th rounder into Jordan Davis, AJ Brown, and a 2023 first.  We done good.  It's OK to admit that from time to time.

That kid is nasty. I actually think the saints offense with Winston is going to be better than it was to end the year. Defense needs some additions to backend and linebacker.

It would have been not long ago. But let's compare this to the receiver contracts given out next year!

Nah, some folks' entire Eagle fandom in centred around being negative. Who cares.

We got two blue chip players, time to celebrate!

Eagles offense now looks pretty appealing to any vet QBs next season

AJ is a known quantity. Awesome

We killed it. Better than I could have predicted. Best first round experience since… 2009? 

It's not functionally 25APY. It's 21M. He has one year left on his rookie deal. Howie can spread out his signing bonus over this year.

The cap is about to explode next year and we're not paying our QBs. It's Hurts or a rookie QB next year. We're fine cap wise.

So maybe @austinfan is right and Howie learned from his mistakes.  Obviously, he struggled at drafting successful WRs so he went the safe route and traded for and signed a proven NFL WR.   I kind of like that better than drafting a 1st round WR.  So Reagor is now battling Greg Ward for the WR 5 position.  

You got the DE from Penn St at 51, there’s plenty of other CB still too.
