Here's the question.

Would you take DK and Justin Jefferson or AJ Brown and Devonta?

We can be angry about that for years or live in the present.

So we started with 15, 16 and 19. Turned that into Davis, Brown, a 2023 1st and a 2024 2nd.

Not sure how you can be upset at that.

We have needs at DE, CB, S and LB and this is all we have left.

Dk and Jefferson

I truly don't understand the same people bishing about how bad Hurts is also bishing about us getting players that don't fit Hurt's skillset.  If (when) he sucks next year he's gone.  Why the hell would you draft based around his current skill set in that case?

We turned our 3 firsts plus a 4th/5th rounder into Jordan Davis, AJ Brown, and a 2023 first.  We done good.  It's OK to admit that from time to time.

And a 2nd rd 2024

Why is that the question?

Absolutely lol. Any time they make a move, half the blog is like "But Hurts sucks deerrr." Like JFC. We know Hurts probably isn't going to be here after 2022. Not everything has to end with Jalen Hurts.

They complain that a good vet QB like Wilson or Watson not wanting to come here because we have no offensive talent, now we do & it’s like great we don’t have a QB to throw it to him.

can’t win with some of these guys

How much I like this trade will be contingent upon if Metcalf or Deebo get traded and for how much. Because I love Brown, but both of those guys are better players.

I'm fine with what they did. How much I'm still torn on. The guys I really wanted went too high to get.

I guess this is the best case scenario because if you trade up for Williams you aren't getting Davis, so at least this way the Eagles end up with two needs filled in a big way.

Yeah I’ve seen you posted it already. Picks can be recouped, still have plenty of future draft capital. This is a great step in right direction for us.

Not with Hurts as the QB.  I am not a fan, but now I desperately want him to succeed or we are F’d.

Not necessarily. Idk how to feel because I don’t necessarily understand the compensation. And I’m not sure how I feel about any of this. LOVE AJ Brown. Always have. But that’s a lot to give up and pay him. When Treylon Burks was there without the money. Idfk. Love Brown. But I’m not sure he fixes our problems

That is where I am confused as well. Big trade compensation and big contract. Brown is good but ya. Wonder what is going to happen at CB

Will Pascal give up 11?

1st, 3rd, and $25APY to take Devonta Smith's role in the offense while Smith fades into the blurry periphery of Hurts' vision.

Hurts has zero excuses now. He's got two legit weapons on the outside. It's put up or get out of town time.

Ideally CB and S in 2nd and 3rd rd

At this point, F them picks, trade up to 32 for Ridder.

I'd do it for Ebiketie, Hall, Cine, Hill, Walker

How long into the season do you give Hurts to improve his passing until you put Minshew in?

With Brown, Smith, Watkins, and Goedert it shouldn't be long

We weren't taking care of all our needs in this draft

I would say the Eagles are setting themselves up if Hurts isn’t the guy long term that next year (even if it’s a rookie) they have the weapons in place so that he can have success. This trade is not just about 2022. It’s about the long-term future that if you have brown, smith and goedert whatever rookie or quarterback comes in in 2023 is going to have the ability to have success. Especially with the oline being good as well.

100%.  They are setting themselves up for whatever may happen.

You think this team can compete for a title next year?

Of course not, but we got a lot better today and all signs point to 2023.

I like both Brown and Davis, we just dont have much capital left to continue to build the defense, which has the MOST HOLES

Hurts isn’t long term guy at QB. This is a great long term move

Do DK and Jefferson play on the same team? Am I missing something?

You’re ignoring the cap implications of Brown’s extension in that equation and the time value of the draft picks.

Garbage

Absolutely. This team will still suck next year but building towards something.

I view it this way, if hurts winds up proving he’s the guy then you have the weapons and picks in 2023. If not you still have the weapons and oline in 2023 and you can go all in on trying to get your QB. And your QB is set up for success having the oline we do, brown, smith, quez and goedert.

I’m  guessing we get a 4th and 5th/6th round picks back when reagor and dillard are traded. I can’t imagine reagor back after that move. And dillard is highly likely dealt tomorrow or Saturday.

Option C...Justin Jefferson and Devonta with Booth at 18 and let's just say Cross in the 3rd.

When's the last time we had two stud receivers? Macklin and Jackson?
