Did y’all want to just rent AJB for a year? Of course he was going to get paid. 25/year while Kirk gets 18? Trading a 1st for AJB instead of Hollywood Brown? I mean…come on now.

We almost have to sign Mathieu now and draft a corner with one of the 2 picks tomorrow. Also can trade Dillard, Reagor still.

Draft weekend just began - at least wait until Sunday to be angry.

I love the trade for Brown but didn't know he was going to get a contract too

Honestly I don't expect he'll have great numbers with Hurts

Once we get a real QB though :groovy:

    e-a-g-l-e-s eagles!

The committee has come out with the seedings for each region of the 2022 EMB Racist bracket. Got some good matchups

So we started with 15, 16 and 19. Turned that into Davis, Brown, a 2023 1st and a 2024 2nd.

Not sure how you can be upset at that.

51, 83,154 & 237

So we end up with 6 total picks as it stands right now down from 11

Not really liking this. At least AJ Brown is only 24.

Don’t know why anyone is surprised. He was on the last year of his deal and wanted to paid.

1st, 3rd and $25APY feels like a mistake

1st, 3rd, and $25APY to take Devonta Smith's role in the offense while Smith fades into the blurry periphery of Hurts' vision.

Brown loves those deep crosses.  Literally, the worst pass in Hurts' game.

I would say the Eagles are setting themselves up if Hurts isn’t the guy long term that next year (even if it’s a rookie) they have the weapons in place so that he can have success. This trade is not just about 2022. It’s about the long-term future that if you have brown, smith and goedert whatever rookie or quarterback comes in in 2023 is going to have the ability to have success. Especially with the oline being good as well.

We killed it. Better than I could have predicted. Best first round experience since… 2009?

This day turned out better than I ever imagined. Phenomenal.

Yeah I’m convinced a lot of you guys just like to bish, and no matter what eagles do you would of complained about it.

Absolutely lol. Any time they make a move, half the blog is like "But Hurts sucks deerrr." Like JFC. We know Hurts probably isn't going to be here after 2022. Not everything has to end with Jalen Hurts.

and still need CB, LB's, Safety, Edge Rusher

and a starting caliber QB

You think this team can compete for a title next year?

Of course not, but we got a lot better today and all signs point to 2023.

There he goes!

Am I the only one upset with the events tonight?

Not necessarily. Idk how to feel because I don’t necessarily understand the compensation. And I’m not sure how I feel about any of this. LOVE AJ Brown. Always have. But that’s a lot to give up and pay him. When Treylon Burks was there without the money. Idfk. Love Brown. But I’m not sure he fixes our problems

Pickett to Pitt

good pick for Pitt

It's not functionally 25APY. It's 21M. He has one year left on his rookie deal. Howie can spread out his signing bonus over this year.

The cap is about to explode next year and we're not paying our QBs. It's Hurts or a rookie QB next year. We're fine cap wise.

Well that changes everything

Here's the question.

Would you take DK and Justin Jefferson or AJ Brown and Devonta?

At this point, F them picks, trade up to 32 for Ridder.

Yes sir, if Hurts is not the guy this draft will kill us.

We are draft watching again next year hoping the Saints are a bottom 5 team.

We only have these picks left

Yeah I’ve seen you posted it already. Picks can be recouped, still have plenty of future draft capital. This is a great step in right direction for us.

Pickett's woman almost lost her top

So maybe @austinfan is right and Howie learned from his mistakes.  Obviously, he struggled at drafting successful WRs so he went the safe route and traded for and signed a proven NFL WR.   I kind of like that better than drafting a 1st round WR.  So Reagor is now battling Greg Ward for the WR 5 position.

And it's not like we could've gotten any receiver without trading up even higher..

It's beyond predictable at this point, it's pitiful.

Absolutely. This team will still suck next year but building towards something.

Because they still need DE, CB, S, LB, and OL depth and there were some good options there at 18. 25 million is a ton of cap space as well, so yeah...he got his splash.

Screw it. Just announce Honey Badger tonight and then look for DE and CB at 53 and 81.

I want Muma or Walker. Cine, Hall, Ebiketie.

Wonder if Tennessee pulls the trigger on willis if he falls to 26 and no one jumps them as tannehill there were rumors about trying to move on from him this or next offseason.
