I hate schwarber. I hated him prior to coming to the Phillies. I hope he produces with the contract we gave him but I’ve thought he was overrated for years.

Blog just found it's horse in an undrafted free agent to pin their delusions to that Hurts won't be the QB this season. 

I've been pulling for Strong all day.

If Hurts wants the job, he should earn it.

Couple of points

1) The Eagles lost 5 draft picks in the draft, so it's easier to recruit players for open spots.
2) Howie also lost 5 rookie pool picks by trading up, so he can use the extra cap space on players. I would be surprised if Goodrich/Brooks get cut though

Howie is good at the UDFA game.

Scanning the UDFA signings, it seems like the Eagles went huge on the UDFA budget this year and went out strong to get their guys.  Still, all told, they will probably spend about $3M on UDFAs.  I believe almost none of that ultimately will get applied to the salary cap - it seems like the Eagles recognized an inefficiency in the NFL salary cap model and have quite systematically exploited it.

And had they drafted Jobe in round 4 or so, people would have liked that too.
