June 7, 20214 yr Sounds like it was a great game. My buddy who lives in Denver was there so I’ll have to ask him about all the shenanigans.

That's purely based on their world Cup 3 years ago (which was overrated given their route to the semis) and their young team. But I can tell you as an English man that a young team with a lot of potential means nothing. We've been there before.

June 7, 20214 yr And the ref missed a blatant yellow card on a Mexican player in the 94th minute that would have sent him off. One of the crazier games

Read Rashford has played 75 games in the last calendar year so no wonder he isn't playing as well. Dude is worn out

Just would be nice if some of them didn't act like idiotic jackasses. I remember a Gold Cup Final playing in LA one year when Landon and Demps were in their prime. US went up 2-0 early on and ended up losing 4-2. But it was basically a home game for Mexico the way the crowd was. And yes: Dos a cero! That's usually the score when we play them in Colombus, OH. Think 2-3 times that was the score there.
June 8, 20214 yr The last decade has been brutal but for quite some time before that we kicked their ass for many a year and we have the big one WC knockout in ‘02 which they can never take away from us.
June 8, 20214 yr Were any of you at the Gold Cup final at The Linc a few years ago? Jamaica defeated the US in the semis, so the final was between Jamaica and Mexico. It was the first major soccer match I’d ever seen live. Looking back, I’m kind of glad the US lost because it was such a cool and different experience. Most of the crowd were Mexico supporters (70%ish). There were Jamaican steel drums being played as we entered the stadium. Everyone was just having a good time.
