August 9, 20224 yr It's not his fault, the documents didn't have the letter C at the top. Seriously though, lock him up!

Even if he had clearance, he did not have need to know nor the appropriate access controls to protect it. Quite simple actually. If you think Hillary broke the laws regarding classified information then you have to recognize that Trump broke at a minimum the same laws and an additional one regarding preservation of Presidential records. The fact that he did take boxes of Presidential records to Mar-a-lago is known and admitted by the Trumps.

I sincerely hope they are doing this to get something incriminating enough to do just that. Anything short of documented proof of criminal activity, this would have been a huge mistake.

But it involves Trump so no one cares and everyone wants to act out their TDS via our govt agencies Bootlickers is what you are. You are all cheering for massive expansion of the FBI and targeting of political opponents, its like the Obama era all over again and where did that get you? Trump, thats where. Just remember that

Just remember that As BBE pointed out below, the Trumps have admitted they took Presidential records. When it is proven he broke the law, is it still inappropriate ????????? 5 minutes ago, BBE said: Even if he had clearance, he did not have need to know nor the appropriate access controls to protect it. There's no two ways around it. She's guilty of that. The reason why she wasn't prosecuted has everything to do with context and proving intent. And, yeah, maybe a little bit of historical precedent. Trump violated the same set of rules more egregiously in a more thorough, brazen way. There's no plausible deniability. Especially when they gave him the chance to turn it all over in June.

I'd guess the same level of stupidity that was the impetus for them to show investigators the documents in the first place, results in them thinking it's no big deal to keep them there indefinitely.

Um he called the extortion of a foreign government to tamper with our election "a perfect call". He thought he could buy Greenland. He wanted to nuke a hurricane. He thought covid could be cured by injecting people with household cleaning products. Do I need to go on?

Still seems like an awful long time to allow them to destroy evidence.

You go there, observe and catalogue things he's not supposed to have, ask for them back, Trump hides/destroys, and now you've got him on an additional charge of destroying classified info and evidence tampering when you return and he can't produce what you already saw was there.

There might be something to the theory that recent testimony from an unrelated investigation (*cough* cipollone) was the final straw in getting a judge to sign the warrant.

That matter was referred to the Justice Department by the National Archives and Records Administration, which said it found classified material in 15 boxes at the residence. Not going through 10 pages. This should be enough to disbar him from running for president in 2024 correct? May have been asked and answered already
