September 3, 20223 yr When I watch Sermons 49ers highlights, and then go back and watch his college career highlights 2 things are clear. He can still scoot when he is in the open field. Hes a load, coming at you fast. BUT, he lost a lot of toughness. He ran way harder in college. I dont know if he lost his edge once he got NFL paychecks. Or some injury took away his fearlessness. But... I hope we can somehow get him running hard again. Anyway, even on his short runs with the 49ers, he shows more power than guys like Gainwell, and Scott. That is what we needed even if he is ONLY going to see the field as a short yardage back. I think he should be able to pick up a yard or 2 when we need it. But if we can open lanes like we do for the other guys, and like he had in college, he may have a breakout year.

Things are so ridiculously expensive anymore... I haven’t had Taco Bell since grad school. The only thing I could stomach there was the chicken quesadilla

I don't see that as much of an issue with this group, assuming the Line stays intact... Run game should feast....

September 3, 20223 yr Off topic Watching Serena Williams lose is very satisfying to me. She might go down as the greatest woman tennis player of all time. She also could have won 40+ majors if she was actually committed to the sport. She also acted like a despicable a-hole on multiple occasions during matches towards her opponents and umpires. Watching her call the chair umpire at the US Open in 2018 a liar and a thief was absurd, yet people supported her. She always acts like an a-hole on court, like she hasn’t been there before. The top 3 tennis players of all time, who are all currently playing, are so much more respectable as humans and tennis players than she is. Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic are all much more impressive and must watch tv than Ms Williams, who clearly hasn’t cared about tennis for a long time. I played D1 tennis and attempted a chance on the satellite circuit before my parents kicked me out of my house to get a real job a long time ago. Just thought I’d throw that in there before some pillar throws in their opinion about wooden racquets. Thanks Serena! I’ll watch Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic continue to destroy all of the young tennis players for as long as they need to, because it’s amazing.

A 5 year old could take one look at her and know something was WAY off. She cheated everyone, and they let her do it. Liars and cheaters- I don't watch that garbage. She has ALWAYS been on drugs, she has always cheated. They allowed it for $$ sake, Screw 'em.
September 3, 20223 yr Story time! walked in to school today. About an hour before I needed to be there. Figured Id make use of my new office space and get some administrative work done. Yes I got moved from one closet to another. But I got a desk now bishes! What I walk in to is, fall sports pep rally. Im in the gym lobby area with all the other athletes who are being introduced one by one in front of the school. I dont want to walk through the gym to get to my "office" so I just hang there waiting and watching the festivities going on. I am spotted by the AD who must have told them to announce me at the end. So all the ahtletes are in and Im still waiting for this thing to end so I can go do some work before all of the practices start. Next thing you know I hear the announcer start hyping something else. And now I can hear whats being said. Its another big introduction. But all the athletes are already in. "And now, someone we all appreciate regardless of what what season or what sport you play..." Im thinking, please be talking about the athletic director. Hes here all year for all of them too. "Half of us probably wouldnt even be here without him..." Im like ok. Thats exaggerated a bit but dammit this is gonna be about me. Here it comes- they say my name. The entire student population of the school is screaming in the bleachers. Im like jesus christ I guess I have to go in there now because a large group of the athletes already saw me here. I cant just stay in hiding after they announced me. Thatd look really lame to the big group who saw me. So after a few seconds of cheering, where Im behind the doors deciding I have to go in there. Now the suspense has built. I open the door. The crowd sees me step through. The crowd POPS even louder like the glass just broke and Stone Cole Steve Austin's music is blaring through the arena at Wrestle Mania. Im a little embarrassed, but feeling like a million bucks. I give a little wave around the gym. Mouth the words Thank you! The cheer goes on a little bit uncomfortably long. Theyre still screaming like raving lunatics. Now Im just kind of standing there. The wave is done. I dont know what else to do. Probably looking really awkward. That was very cool. And unexpected. Also, Im apparently popular in high school- a couple decades too late. Just wanted to share a story about a memorable day at work. That is all.

September 3, 20223 yr Just watched the Elvis Presley movie on HBO max. Pretty good. My only minor complaint is it is PG13. Wish they would have gone into more detail about all the sloots he smashed.
