I'm so far gone.  Lol.  You think the coaches have no responsibility whatsoever to call designed running plays. You don't believe the coaches create the gameplan and then call the play calls in game day.  You apparently believe this is all the work of Jalen Hurts.

I'd love to meet you in a parking lot if you weren't such a Nancy.

oh lort, we gotta ourselves a catfight

I’m gonna say the Eagles are worse offensively Monday night, better defensively, and after 2 weeks people still aren’t gonna know what to think of this Eagles team.

I will say though, as sad as it is, Kirk Cousins if the Eagles win the game will be the best QB Sirianni/Gannon have beaten. The Eagles didn’t beat a single QB last year who was even above average.

If you can, go back and look at the second TD drive.  It starts with an RPO to Brown.

Then they run the ball with Sanders.  It's the same mesh action as an RO, but there isn't an unblocked defender to read.  Straight run.

Next play, is also a run by Sanders.  But this time Hurts is reading the DE.  Read Option.

Of course the announcers called them the same play.

And here's the Read Option:

The DE has eyes on Hurts, so he hands off. A couple of neat things here. Check out the OL.

Kelce gets through and takes out the LB. Lane has driven his man and turns. He almost gets the DE but can't quite get there and has to hold up as Sanders goes by. A hair quicker and he would have a great angle on the DE who has turned to chase Sanders...

Speaking of pics.  The wedding recon we were supposed get was kind of a letdown, just gotta say.

I have been told to hold off on posting any pics of the wedding until the brides do.

I will send you a couple through PTATE.

@justrelax  Look at the Eagles pass play around 1:01.25 in the All 22. That’s straight out of Mike Leach’s playbook (Air Raid).  Vertical to the right, Goedert stack low, Brown (crossing) stacked intermediate and Smith (cutting) high. Leach stacked these so when the QB reads, in one quick glance he can see three receivers. Run so well, any of the three were open.

Hurts is reading the DE, who is unblocked. The DE is square, committed to holding the edge.

So, Hurts gives it to Sanders. Lane and Seumalo have doubled the DT. The LB (#44) is filling the A gap - probably a mistake because the other LB (#34) has the angle. However, from #44's point of view, the DE has the edge handled.

Sanders makes a pretty cut to his left between Lane and Kelce

The DE just manages to trip him up or he'd have another 5+ yards. Still, a sweet play.

So explain to me what an audible does?

Explain to me how a RPO works.

As I mentioned before. if SS calls 20 run, 20 pass and 20 RPO, it should be fairly even

But, if your boy Hurts switched 4-5 runs to passes, and keeps the ball on 75% of the RPO's, you're not looking at a 40 pass / 20 run split.

PM your address, we can make something work

The proper read is the quick throw to one of the flat routes.  Without seeing the coverage, won’t know which one.

But it would be nice to have QB who can threaten a defense, downfield in the passing game, so we’re not forced to run these RO plays. And we won’t need the athletic QB to save a busted zone blocking play.

I appreciate the insight.

Yeah, Jalen Reagor really needs to get some revenge on the Eagles for giving him an opportunity and giving him a 1st round salary.

He's going to get his revenge for Sirianni asking him to run his routes with some effort

Would Vikings seriously risk bad plays to put Reagor on the field though? He can't really claim anything if he's on the bench the entire time if they were to beat us

There has been no indication from the coaching staff that Jalen Hurts audibled out of 4-5 runs in that first half.  None.  There is no reason whatsoever to believe that.  Don't open the game with nothing but RPOs, call some designed runs.  This is the same crap we saw from the offensive play calling to start the year last year.
