Eliminating the fair catch would make punts a lot more exciting.

XFL rules. Fun fact, the original XFL had three names they were considering to call the opening "kickoff”. Suicide Scramble, Ball or Nothing and F*** a goat.

Broken can be a 6 week thing. If they are broken then the Chargers should get a million dollar fine for keeping him in the game (there are either player safety standards or there are not)

The point of not playing with broken ribs besides the pain is that your heart and lungs are protected by healthy and functioning ribs.

Not only are your innards less protected, there can also be shards of bone that can be stabbed into those innards on additional hits.

Heart would be really rare and unlucky but lungs are a huge target.

Bruised is just pain management.

From 2004-2008 Westbrook had 8106 yards from scrimmage and 53 TDs in 69 games.

He had another 868 and 6 more TDs in 8 playoff games.

No one is the next Westbrook until they have proven they are special for at least 3 years.

CEH is nothing special so far.

First, let me say, I don’t think he’s ever going to be as good as Westbrook. When i say could be like westbrook was with reid, my thought was more involved in the passing game as a legit weapon along with being a runner

second the one of the reasons they took him where they did in the first round out of LSU, was because of the way he was able to receive the ball out of the backfield at lsu his last year there. He was a weapon in that area. The prevailing thought was they were going to try to use him as a weapon in the passing game. His first two years in the league, they really didn’t do it all that often with him due to the other weapons they had.

So far this year he has seven catches for 76 yards. He’s on pace to set a career high this year in receptions and yards (on pace for 676 receiving yards and 60 receptions and on pace for 986 rushing yards; so combined 1662 total yards) and eclipse his career total of 297 and 129 receiving yards

Again he’s never going to be as good as westbrook and frankly he’s not as explosive nor as dynamic. That doesn’t mean they can’t use him more as a receiving back like the eagles did with westbrook. his 55 receptions his last year at LSU was really intriguing and they wanted to incorporate that into the offense with him

Wonder if Herbert is going to be out for a couple of weeks

No way. They will put on a flak jacket and shoot him up with Toradol

The best of GOT is the vitriol in the dialogue between Cersi and Tyrion and other adversaries. The warfare, backstabbing and politics is what makes the show.  The more the fantasy storylines took over, the worse it got.  Still a fantastic show.  I’m watching the series again for the 3rd time.

Small Council was the best besides the actual military battles

An asterisk the size of the moon for Dak as 2 of those games were preseason style against backups. (week 17 2017 and week 18 2021)

He also went nuts on a SNF game where the Eagles were missing 3 or 4 corners.

When the Eagles have an actual team, Dak is close to useless. (besides the first Gannon game)

the fact in his first 4 full years as a starter he’s managed to make 4 afc title games and 2 super bowls is insane.

4 AFCCG and 2 SB’s. Only problem is he never faced the real test

Dallas is screwed with that contract. I think the loss of amari cooper, zeke not being what he once was and the oline not being nearly as good as early in his career the more the warts have popped up for him being a guy that can put a team on his back.

The only thing I hate about when Dallas isn’t good is that they’re going to get high draft picks. And I hate seeing them pick super high and get very talented players on that roster even if it means they still fail as a team.

Sadly he likely never faces nick foles in a SB lol

Westbrook had a great burst step that allowed him an escapism as he had great vision.  That said his ability to catch off his shoestrings was phenomenal.  Not convinced there will ever be another. That alone was HOF worthy

Bruised is just pain management.

Depends on which ribs. I broke my 11 and 12 'false' ribs (the bottom) which are supposedly the least painful. It was hell. I had to make myself take deep breaths every hour to prevent pneumonia. I had to be wary of normal day to day movements to prevent pain. If I burped, it hurt. If I sneezed, it really hurt. If I had a coughing fit, it was hell. But because they were my lower ribs, and they were minor fractures I didn't have the risk of organ injury.

If he broke ribs 5 through 10 there's a risk of organ damage, if it's a compound fracture. If he broke lower ribs, or the ribs are simple fractures, he's in for a crap ton of pain, but no serious health risk if he takes care of himself and heals.

Take a look at Westbrook 2004-2008 and Lev Bell in Pittsburgh.  Westbrook was better and no one outside Philly (besides Belichick) would believe it.

@Westbrook#36 Yeah, I have heard they are super painful. My brother was miserable when he had a rib injury.

I think the NFL needs to investigate what the Chargers knew when they put him back out there in that condition.

Player safety is a real thing now and that seemed very reckless. You could tell he was not just hurting, he was damaged.

South Jersey guy.  Played for the Browns and a few other teams.  Late 50s into the 60s.

He and Patrick Rothfuss both fell into the same fat and happy and distracted trap. At least Rothfuss is helping the planet with wells and goats, and stuff like that with his charity.

George is working on Wild Cards shite, rescuing wolves, playing with his movie theatre, going to conventions, and working on 27 spinoffs.

Finish the books already or hand it off to Brandon Sanderson. (he finished Wheel of Time when Jordan died)

Sanderson is a solid writer, wish Rothfuss would finish. Can’t fault any rescuing wolves. Anybody that tracked my conversations with @greend over the years knows that while I am pro hunting I think predators need to be welcomed back. His hunting coyotes was a great difference of us.   As a descendant of a ranching family and on behalf of that family, we are 100% pro wolf repopulation.  Additionally, cougars in MN, hopefully in my lifetime Nittany lions.  Sorry to digress.

Also herbert better be careful with the chargers doctors and his injury. They punctured Tyrod’s lung a couple years back so he could become the starter.

Well now their doctor just tweets NFL injuries.
