I remember thinking after Lee dominated on the road in game 1 that we were gonna stomp the Yankees <_<

I hate my friend for this for the rest of his life, but before the series he was like the matsui sucks and making fun of him the. had the series of his life with 3 HRs and 8 rbi

The Phillies have done a ridiculous job of scouting and developing pitchers over the past 10-15 years or so - both drafting and in trades/free agent signings.

Nola

Wheeler

Suarez

Sanchez

Luzardo

Abel

Painter

Eflin

Pivetta

Falter

All are solid starters in the league right now. (Painter is about to be)

Pivetta looking for revenge tonight! He's actually been having a very good year. But it was definitely time to move on when the Phils moved him so can't bash that move in hindsight.

Bullpen has really been the bigger issue when pitching with the Phillies. I’d also argue development of young hitters. Stott, marsh and even Bohm haven’t been what they expected

Just saying marlins have won 8 straight and 9 of their last 10

Longest win streak in 17 years. All 19 of their fans are thinking World Series bound now

Would make sense with Luke Stevenson if they dealt Tait. Probably not ready til 2028 but he has power and he’s an above average defensive catcher. He’s LH.

So is it gonna be Marchan and Stubbs next year? Yikes

I have a feeling Jt is back at a reduced price. The FA market for catcher is really bad. Probably could try to deal for Contreras of the brewers in the off-season as he’s entering the last year of his deal in 2026 and will get a sizable contract

Abel’s command is god awful today. 4 walks in 1.2 innings. Why he fell off the prospect map until this year again

Make it 5 walks, 3 run double and most of these balls aren’t remotely close

Bringing in lazar at this point is just Fing dumb. Might as well let Abel throw 100 pitches then remove him so you don’t kill your bullpen in game 1 of a DH.

I think it’s safe to say that the Abel experiment is in the crapper, along with his value in a trade now

Said a couple weeks back i like lazar. I think he could be a good BP down the road

I cursed him

All these pitchers stink today and here comes Romano to really blow it wide open.

Is Romano DD's biggest failure of a contract so far? $8.5M for a 7.4 ERA...

Walker is making $18 mil

When was the good year?

For some reason I thought that first year he was decent. I just went back to look at his stats... had 15 wins but still a 4.38 ERA so you're right.

This would be his best year except for the fact since he went to the bullpen, his ERA is close to five. And they’re paying $18 million for him to be a bullpen arm that gets brought into blowouts
