I said during his last starting against Atlanta, his back was bothering him. It’s a very specific tell with Ranger. When Ranger is on, he’s just natural in his routine. But when his back starts bothering him, you start seeing him do more twists and stretches between batters and even Between pitches. And he was doing that a lot in Atlanta. Today he did it more than he usually does, but not anywhere close to what it was in Atlanta.

I agree, i wouldn't resign him especially with Boras as his agent he is going to ask for more then he is worth with that back issue

it’s like 5-6 pages back. But either way that trade would Massively bolster their lineup

Obviously not likely but the guardians just lost 9 in a row and sit at 40-47 and 5 out of the wild card. If they fall out of it I wonder if Jose ramirez would become available. I get he didn’t want to leave a couple years back but he is going to be 33 in September, they owe him a ton of money (anfter this year 3 years at $69 mil) and feels like they might have to start rebuilding. Could move Bohm to first and Harper to OF.

Obviously think miller and Crawford would be apart of the deal if it were to go down. I’m guessing likely Abel in there as well as someone like Tait

Ramirez is still owed 69 mil for 3 more years at 33 years old? For the Phillies to take on that contract, no way would I give up Crawford or Miller. Maybe Abel and another lower-level prospect. Cleveland can ef right the hell off if that is what they want in return.

José Ramirez completely changes this team. I’d give them whatever they want. But yeah no way Cleveland trades him.

Might wind up being a bigger trade if it did happen (again not likely) tbh. They also have clase who the Phillies could use and has 3 more years of control. Also ramirez is still really good. Might be the best 3B in terms of overall hitter in the league: .300/.362/.489/.851. Pretty consistent slashes with his career. On pace for 25+ HRs. Plus he’s a switch hitter which frankly is pretty big for our lineup. Also rarely strikes out.

Imo actually a bargain to get him for that type of money if he continues on the pace he has. He realistically should be making way more but he gave Cleveland a discount to stay a couple years back. Cheaper than Harper and turner’s contracts on Average annual salary. Also making less than Jt, schwaber and Castellanos this year. And only mil more than what casty and schwarber ($20 mil this year) are making next.

Think at least miller or Crawford in this deal to get him. Frankly im guessing it’s both cause another team like Yankees, dodgers or Mets would be willing to give up that and probably more to acquire him.

Their season stats are skewed cause they’ll have these 2-3 games where they just have ridiculous numbers. Then 2 weeks where they are just god awful outside of a game maybe 2. Currently in the 2 weeks
