July 12, 20251 yr Dombrowski spending $42 mil on Romano, Walker, Kepler and Ross. Then add another $20 mil on Castellanos who frankly isn’t worth that amount based off his play outside of like Mets and Braves series in the playoffs
July 12, 20251 yr I’d be curious to see the total number of games in which all MLB teams, ranked, have scored 2 or fewer runs.I have to imagine the Phillies would be high on the list. Their runs per game a bit above average (and not accounting for the hitter friendly home park), but it’s got to be an abysmal distribution.
July 12, 20251 yr Don’t make it complicated. DFA Kepler, bring up Crawford to player center, and platoon Marsh and Kemp in left.

So, that is 27 games out of the 94 they have played. This high-priced roster has managed to score 0-2 runs in almost 29% of their games played. Bunch of overpaid bums.
July 12, 20251 yr Kepler 9 for his last 51 (.176). So the whole i need to play everyday to get into a rhythm is and always was BS. He just sucks and can’t admit he suckd

And then for the next week to 2 weeks, they can’t hit with runners in scoring position to save their life. So when people look at their overall stats of runners in scoring position, be like they are actually pretty good. But when you watch them every single day, you know they have these one or two games in a row aren’t what they are the majority of the time.

July 13, 20251 yr 3-12 with risp… and now the bullpen needing 9 and potentially more outs will likely not hold up.
