Has any starting rotation in baseball history had a bigger gap between their #1/2 and their #4/5 pitchers? It's comical. 1/2 starters and it's a lock for 7 innings and 1 run. 4/5 and it's a lock for 4-5 innings and hemorrhaging runs.

For a team that is so heavily dependent on pitching with a soft lineup, that's a guarantee to hover around .500. You'll drop some tough ones with your horses on the mound and steal a couple high scoring madness games with your lousy pitchers.

That sort of hones in on Luzardo to be the guy that moves the needle. He's the difference between being overwhelmingly likely to win or lose more than half the games.

Im kinda liking Marsh in the cleanup spot. Not the ideal guy but hes the best they have to do it. Just keep him there.

The best move Dombrowski might have made this off-season was not getting an actual platoon for marsh and just going with Otto kemp. Because it’s forced them to have to play him against the left-handed pitching.

The walks in the 5th killed him today. Up to that point he wasn't great but it was an outing we could have lived with.

I'm glad he is showing he can hit lefties. Nothing spectacular but respectable

They frankly need to play him when they face playoff caliber teams with good left handers and just let him hit. So you can at least know against good lefties what he looks like against them. in the playoffs, if you put him in the cleanup spot and he winds up showing he can’t hit good left-handed pitching, the issues gonna wind up being you’re gonna have to remove him from the game and put in Sosa in a big spot and stick with Sosa for the rest of the game. that’s not ideal.
