Thursday at 11:04 AM2 days Basically teams have picked up on him not throwing strikes and now are way more patient with him. Essentially they are just making him throw extra pitches and he gets into longer counts which drives up his pitch count and leads to hitters counts. Really became more noticeable when in Milwaukee. That’s kind of when this really began to show more. Sanchez has the stuff to be elite, but part of his issues in the minors was his control/command. If he doesn’t throw strikes to get ahead then teams will run up his pitch count and then wait til he had to throw in the zone and you’ve seen the result ( last 5 games era of 5+ and since mid June 4.22)
