Probably not good that shugart is currently the 3rd best arm in the bullpen. 0.00 ERA in 5.2 IP in September

Oh yes, can’t hit, horrid bullpen and luzarado hurt. they should’ve been sellers because this team‘s window was closed. They could’ve gotten like a boatload of good prospects for Wheeler, Schwarber, and Duran, who you’re not gonna use in a rebuild and you could’ve had your farm system at least be better

Don’t Wheeler and Schwarber have no movement clauses because of the 5/10 rule?

They do but that doesnt mean the team cant ask them. Wheeler could probably fetch a good prospect or two assuming he finishes the season out healthy. Plus, he only has 1 more year on his contract.

Schwarber would have to be traded to a team that not only needs a DH, but also has the payroll flexibility to fit his contract. Not sure who that is. To be honest, its all a moot point anyway. Be prepared to see DD get a contract extension and to see this same damn team next year assuming there is a season.

Do but I’m guessing if the Phillies told them they were going into a rebuild both would be accepting to trades. You’d just have to trade them to places they’d ideally want. I’m guessing wheeler would want close to Philly so NY, Boston and schwarber was interests in going home to cincy. I think both would be willing to drop no movement if the Phillies were like we are going into a rebuild. Neither strike me as i rather go into a rebuild and not compete for a title. Particularly wheeler who could use a title to his resume

Interesting too that Arraez batting avg is 33 points lower with the Phillies than the 105 games this year prior to the Phillies. Thanks Kevin Long for sucking and whoever decided to stick him in the 4 spot where he shouldn't be.
