Dave couldn’t construct a bullpen if you gave him $1 billion to put a bullpen together. literally has two guys in a BP that are any good. And everybody else stinks. You know how hard it is to have a bullpen that has just two guys are any good. If you go look at the beginning of the year, the only guys coming into the season that had proven to be good for a prolonged period of time was Duran and banks. Bowlan hadn’t proven it. Alvarado had been bad for about a year and a half. Keller had one good season as a reliever and they decided to pay him $12 million. Every season before that he was a starter and he was terrible as a starter for like 4 years. Kerkering fell off in the playoffs and wasn’t great down the stretch yet again.

September 13Sep 13 There’s an increasing chance they’re gonna miss the playoffs. Which goes back to my whole point at the deadline. You weren’t winning anything anyways. You weren’t changing your fortunes in that market and especially amount of moves they did make. September was always gonna show you that they were frauds. they are so fortunate that August was their easiest schedule of the season. Because if it wasn’t, they would have absolutely no chance of making the playoffs. Like if they played the September schedule in August, they be getting beat nightly and they might have never recovered from that.

I agree though, it wouldn't surprise me if he misses multiple starts, or worse, the rest of the season at this point. If that happens, stick a fork in them, because at that point, they would be officially toast.

Monday at 04:49 PM5 days Arraez batting cleanup hitting .291 and with risp .262. So clearly that experiment is not working. On the surface should be like sitting 291. That’s pretty good. Except for that before coming here he was hitting close to 320 and he doesn’t give you power or a good OBP. He’s not a cleanup hitter. He’s never been that. Why teams never used him consistently as thatTheir lineup construction is part of the problem with their inconsistency. Because when he comes up yesterday and goes 0-3 with risp, you have to make it up elsewhere. And luckily yesterday Stott, Bohm and Jt made up for it. Frankly, most of the time they’re not, which means you want your cleanup hitter bringing in guys more consistently and hitting some out of the park to put up crooked numbers. Not grounding into 8 double plays in 37 games. With SF he had 7 in 105. That’s not by coincidence
