0-9 with RISP

also what the F is marsh swinging at. This has been what he’s done most of the month.

Marsh and Stott should spend more time in the batting cage maybe and taking notes from Harper and Turner than they do F'ng around dumping water on players who actually have good games.

We did it. We got a hit with RISP!!!

Eventually just by accident it would happen, but Rojas is an idiot

Man thankfully nola didn’t blow it. But man that all happened with 2 outs

I guess this is one of the games Harper decided not to show up

Amazing how everyone else has been all over the place and he’s turned into Tony Gwynn

They should be cautious. Give it another 3 years then have him throw a bullpen

Kerkering has not been as effective lately. He’s been fortunate in some of these games where he got pulled that he didn’t have more ER against him.

well now he does.

Unbelievable

While the outfield could definitely use a bat, this bullpen has gone from great to trash in a matter of a month. Alvarado, Kerkering, and Dominguez should all be sent down to AAA to work on whatever issues they are having. It's possible DD may have to get 2 bp arms by the trade deadline.

Trying to find the tweet but i think a couple weeks ago they were something like the 3rd least innings pitched of any bullpen. Makes it worse they are this bad right now. Hoffman is about the only one not struggling

Who do we want to blame today for the loss? Hitters who were 2-11 with RISP. Or the bullpen that went 2.1 innings and gave up 4 runs.

not sure why we are using Soto on back to back days. Especially when he nearly melted down yesterday

Let’s blame both

Bullpen owns this one full stop.

The reason why I’m concerned is because what they did in April and May really doesn’t make a difference when you get to playoffs. It gives you homefield advantage but that’s about it if you can’t start playing at a level somewhat better than they have been their last 51 games. Ask the Mets in 2022. Ask the Phillies the last two years when they sucked those months. Ask atlanta who won it all being below average to start the year. It’s not just injuries as to why this team their first 51 games were 37-14 and the next 51 they are 27-24 (20-19 since London). Injuries haven’t helped but they’ve been bad out of the pen besides like 3 guys. And their offense is exactly like it was last year over that stretch. They still miss Rhys with RISP and a mediocre to below average hitting outfield.

To me they have the 2 of the same problems they had last year. Wildly inconsistent with runners in scoring position (I’d say chase rate but that goes into RISP) and only 3 reliable bullpen arms when they got to late july (when kimbrel began falling off it was Hoffman, strahm and Alvarado). So when people say don’t worry or be concerned, why not? It’s the same issues they had last year (I’d add their 5th starter is a question mark kind of like last year with Walker’s issues). And it ultimately ended their season against the dbacks. They didnt fix it this offseason  early season they had a lower chase rate. Over the last two months they are closer to what they were in 2023. Their issues with RISP was something i continuously harped on all season and even the playoffs when i said when the homers go dry they are going to be in trouble. And they were

as a bonus this team still has some of the dumbest base running decisions. That has been going on since kapler was their manager 6 years ago.

2-4, least we get to come home now

Over the next 16 games (vs. Cleveland, vs. tackles, at Seattle, at dodgers and at dbacks) win total 8.5…. Taking the over or under?

Gonna be like Ward or canha. At least they are upgrades over the crap that was Castro last deadline
