The front office knew this but they were too cowardly to tell Bryce that playing the outfield is the better long-term option for not only himself, but the team as well.

I’m not saying Hoskins is the savior. But I’m saying is you don’t just let 30 home runs and 80 RBIs walk out the door or when he gets injured not trying to replace it. Your lineup would look a lot better if you had that type of guy in it. And there were guys out there free agency if you were gonna move Bryce Harper to first. You could’ve went out and got teoscar Hernandez on the cheap who’s killing it this year for the Dodgers. They signed whit Merrifield who frankly should be a bench player not someone you are trying to replace. Like kimbrel lost game 3 and 4 but if you had an additional bat like a Rhys you might have won either of those games.
August 30, 20241 yr Pham got released. Phillies had interest last year. He was bad with the cardinals but who knows solid bench bat or a bat if guys like marsh,hays and/or Rojas go into a struggle
