Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

That doesn’t even look good

It wasn't nearly as good as legit porchetta from an Italian deli but it was better than anything else I've had from Arby's.

Carter, kind of the same thing — late first/top half of the second by the time the draft rolls around.

He has had a really bad set of practices at the senior bowl.

The high pant leg is really in right now.  I had mixed thoughts, but it’s everywhere from board rooms to beach clubs.

I have no mixed thoughts, it looks dumb, like really dumb. Nobody wants to see Devonta's ankles.

Just looked at a mock of the Eagles taking a ND DE at 10. Assuming he has a low ceiling like Abiamiri and Laws

There are two Edges slightly later that I would be very happy to see as Eagles.  In my most recent mock draft I was actually able to select them both … Lukas Van Ness (Iowa) and Andre Carter (Army).

Would you really be okay with Philly taking 3 RBs by the middle of round 4?

Get to work to find out two hours of appointments canceled. Where is everyone? I got time to kill and no one to argue with

When you post an ad on Craigslist that says "Massage clients needed. Hairy males only.  BYO buttless chaps, but I have a few extra in the hamper. Happy Endings mandatory,” people tend to get cold feet.

Any recommendations on how to improve such a thing?

Is anyone concerned with Jalen Hurts and big games? He’s been benched during the College National Championship Game, NFL Divisional round and for the NFC Championship game. Seems to be a reoccurring trend.

This is exactly the type of game we should have kept Carson Strong around for.  I agree.

I like a lot of prospects who should be available in the 6-10 range. I don’t really love any of them. Personally I’m more inclined to trade down than up. I’d hold tight and see if anyone is willing to give us a godfather deal for a QB who drops.

I think we need quantity more than quality given the number of free agents we have. Put another way, we could probably drop down 5 spots, grab an extra 2nd rounder, and still be able to choose between 2-3 of the top CBs and 2-3 DL.

So unless the eagles feel there is a can’t miss all-pro type of player available (Broderick Jones might be the closest thing given his elite physical tools, youth and Stoutland here to coach him) I think we should be looking to trade down.

I'm in the same mindset basically but leading up to the draft I'm sure I will have my shortlist. Wilson, Branch, Witherspoon, Jones, are some of my favorite early 1st round guys thus far that I really like and covet. Then there's other like Porter, and some of the other corners and DE's  I like that I want to look into more and see their combined and such. This DE Keion White DJ has in his top ten is out of nowhere so that is interesting and someone I want to look into.

He's Jordan

Perhaps take some of the pressure off of the client?  Try Happy Endings encouraged instead of mandatory?

Yea. It’s like the opposite of when JNCO jeans were in style.

Points scored by the Eagles' offense in Jalen's last 7 starts: 31, 38, 22 (weird game), 25, 48, 35, 40.

The last time a Hurts' offense couldn't move the ball effectively was Nov 20th against Indy. I'd be stunned if we can't get to 24 points next week. I'm just worried the defense will give up 30.

Saints players have the biggest mouths for a team that hasn't gotten to the SB since 2009.

Thanks for the top 10 pick

A friend of mine who isn't a big sports fan asked me the other day if the Eagles lose to the Chiefs, what could they do to be better than them next season?

And it's a hard question to answer because this Eagles team is so loaded. There really isn't an answer, because you aren't gonna find a QB better than Mahomes(or Hurts for that matter) obviously. And aside from QB the Eagles are better in most areas. So just thinking about that question reinforced how confident I am in this game. Yes, we don't have the better QB, but we have the better team and as long as we execute, we should win.

Coaching is going to be front and center on this one because of that. Mahomes will get his, but with the talent on this defense they should be able to win enough individual matchups to at least make it difficult on them.

The two big ones are

- Intermediate passing game
- Man-coverage

I'd throw in run defense in 4 down (even) fronts in a distant 3rd.

Yeah, we are all so far behind the NFL who probably have their board basically set already and only adjust things for off field problems, interviews, and combine results that are shockingly good or bad.

But generally speaking there are a lot of guys I like at first glance in the top 100 or so prospects at positions we need: EDGE, DT, CB, RB, S plus OT and WR that I’d like to take a look at… I think I want quantity this year. If the right guy is there at 10 then by all means take him, but then at 31 I think we almost have to trade back.

As the kids say, don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Is intermediate passing game just a function of how teams play us though?

We are basically just taking what defenses give us for the most part. If they load the box we go over the top. And if they back off we run. Given that, I think the intermediate passes are what gets lost in the shuffle because wether a defense tries to take away the run or deep ball, they are always going to be better positioned to defend the intermediate pass than the other two extremes.
