Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Was going to say they are a terrible fit

See the bold in my original post.  The last sentence there is just saying "we'd be in trouble if that somehow turned out not to be true".

If KC can manage to hold their own in the trenches then things might be troublesome.

That was the post I was originally responding to.

Agree. but no Effen way can they hang with us up front for 4 qtrs...Plan for Jones, Stout magic, D line close in and feast.

Yeah i don’t see how they work together. Then again kyrie wanted to play with Lebron again after he got annoyed in cleveland with Lebron. Kd was a better fit with kyrie cause he didn’t have to always have the ball in his hands and moving without the ball he’s better. Luka is very ball dominant and so is kyrie. Either way it’s only lasting til the mavs get eliminated from the playoffs. Cause then kyrie is booking it to the lakers in FA.

Yes, but that sentence came right after I said what I believed would happen.  Here it is again below.  I could have been more clear in the 2nd sentence though for sure.

I think we will man handle them on both sides of the ball leaving their only path to victory being Mahomes magic or perhaps a +2 or more turnover advantage.  If KC can manage to hold their own in the trenches then things might be troublesome

I think the Eagles are better in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Imo the pass rush and DL have to be great in this game and help creat 1-2 turnovers if we are going to win this. Which i very much think they can. But i also know the Kansas City Chiefs offensive line is talented and good. They are first in pass block with rate, third in run block win rate, and they were top five by PFF all season (not that it means anything). This is likely the best offensive line the Eagles have faced all year. Imo it’s likely a toss up to me between the Lions, chiefs and packers. It’s a much tougher challenge if mahomes’ ankle is healthier where he is able to move around more along with his oline. The chiefs were ranked first on offense in dvoa that is largely due to mahomes being great, kelce and their oline who’s only given up 26 sacks all year (some of that is mahomes ability) cause their WRs aren’t scaring anyone like tyreek hill did

On the other side of the ball, I’m guessing spags is going to have Chris jones matchup against seumalo or if dickerson’s elbow is hurting still then attacking him. Really if eagles can slow down jones and mailata can hold his own against Frank Clark (he’s still a POS) the eagles should really be able to exert their dominance over the chiefs DLine and be able to consistently move the ball.

60 minute game. Edges contain Mahomes, pressure up the middle should be starting plan, anyway, See how it works from there.

Guy can throw, no doubt, but make him do it from the pocket, on script. Improv is where he's dangerous. Pocket, vulnerable.

The biggest concern I have is if the offensive game-plan goes away from what they’ve been successful at and they’re too smart for their own good.

This.  Exactly this.

Tbh it’s not but what they gave up is basically nothing finney-smith is a nice player but he and dinwiddie weren’t good enough to put the mavs in position to win a title. That 2029 (espn has since changed it) likely has conditions on it. Either way kyrie is leaving at the end of the year to go to lakers and mavs clear some cap space with that so they have more flexibility and at least a hope of luka/kyrie pans out a chance to win the west. I still think nuggets and grizzlies are better than them. Warriors are in trouble due to the curry injury he suffered this week.

The more curious thing about this trade is what happens with Kevin Durant. They have until the 9th at the deadline to trade him this year. I have to believe he’s going to want out now that there’s nothing left of the hopes of winning a title. I’m guessing the nets would be more inclined to do so if they got good compensation. There’s gonna be teams that are willing to offer for Kevin Durant. I am super curious to see if the Sixers are involved, the Celtics are involved, the heat are involved, nuggets are involved and the suns are involved. To me those seem like the 5 teams that make the most sense based off where they are. I’d say grizzlies but I’m not sure with how they are constructed they are willing to part of the guys to make it work. I also wouldn’t rule out the Milwaukee bucks if they could pull something off in a trade of Middleton and other pieces to get Kevin Durant. They tend to always think outside the box

Based on your post history, next week you’ll be extolling how the confused emoji is the greatest emoji ever invented

Do you do it? You are not the only one who does it so its not directed at you. I did not quote you.

Why do you do it?

What is the point if not for stalking around the ignore feature?

Its spam. it has no value in bulk other than to a troll.

The Giants have a good tackle they threw around along with good DE. Bosa and the rest got tossed. Joseph won't be an issue.

This will also be the best DL the Chiefs have faced. If their WR can't get open or aren't healthy their OL has to block a long time. Yeah Kelce is good, but they have so many ways to cover them all with Maddox back. They are in trouble and I don't think this game will be close.

I picture it to be like the Bengals game last year where the D dictated.

The bengals game last year ended 27-24. It was close.

You are also forgetting the Chiefs love to use their backs out of the backfield. So  wide receivers might not be great, they’re not afraid to go to McKinnon or go to Pacheco and take the check downs or screen game to counter. They’ve adapted to what their wide receiver position is and reid isn’t an idiot. You don’t think his game plan is figuring out a way to slow down the eagles pass rush? I’d bet it’s the top thing he’s doing all week. He’s going to have some wrinkles. I think the eagles can and likely win this game but I’d be floored if it wasn’t close

let me just point out the Kansas City Chiefs while Patrick Mahomes has been quarterback have been in a one score game or ahead in the fourth quarter in 90 of 93 games. If you think this is likely going to be a blowout it would be the only 4th time in 94 games which would be 4% of mahomes/reid/chiefs era.

i think some dont exactly realize how good the chiefs offense has been this year. The eagles pass rush is great. The best the chiefs will see all year. however the defense still given up points to offenses like Dallas, GB and the lions. Even with minshew playing horribly against the saints, the chiefs would have a sizable difference

So do the 49ers and Giants. Not a problem. They are going to get run over and I don't feel that way often. Felt it before the 49ers and do so now.

Quoted for being on point.

Hey @4for4EaglesNest, you're famous. So to speak. Maybe not for the right reasons.

I'm running a little baby campaign, down time, slow Sunday. Trying to see how much you are appreciated around here.

Strictly informal, of course. Results so far don't look good for team 4for4. Vitriol vs Footbal , 46-4

It appears you may not be all that, maybe just a guy with a big mouth. Still tallying votes.

May be time to take out the trash. It eventually starts to stink up the garage.

Your last couple posts were suddenly all football, and respectful. Team 4for4 gaining ground...

Dislaimer: This is not a personal attack, as we're accustomed to in here. Just a thermometer in the water.

Pushback can be a Beeeyotch.

The niners don’t have mahomes. Nor do they have a coach as good as Andy Reid. nor do the giants or niners have as good of an offensive line as the chiefs entire unit. The niners have a bunch of playmakers and the giants are nowhere near any of these teams.

The Chiefs offense put up 44 on the Niners. mahomes threw for 423 yards and 3 tds on that defense. Also ran for 112 yards on 21 attempts which is 5.3 yards per carry (should’ve been higher without henne kneeling 3 times otherwise it’s 118 yards on 18 rushes for 6.6 yards per carry). On the road. I’m sure they are gonna have some new wrinkles for the eagles

again, I’m not saying the Eagles can’t win this game. Or they’re not gonna win this game. What I’m telling you is I don’t see the Eagles just blowing the Chiefs out of this game. Just like i don’t see the chiefs doing that either. The chiefs history under reid and mahomes says as much in their 93 starts together. And one of the time it happened mahomes/reid were down 2 starting tackles, had their starting guards playing tackle so essentially 4 out of 5 starters on the oline were out or playing out of position in a SB. It’s happened 3% of the time mahomes has been the starter. It’s not likely

It’s funny that the people who have the biggest issue with it are the ones who get it the most.  😂 I’m just trying to train them to be better posters.

You, trying to train people how to be better posters.

Excuse me while I get off the floor and back into a chair...might take a minute to stop laughing, first...

I expect a close battle. I also expect our guys to will out. Andy will Eff up clock management at the end to secure our Title.

Think the Birds got a trick play planned?

Kenny Gainwell pass

The 49ers were 3-3 when the met the Chiefs who crushed them. The CMC trade and the 12 wins in a row meant they were a much different team in the NFCCG. For years the 49ers have been heavily injured but they got very healthy going into the playoffs and the NFCCG.

You could say that Skylar Thompson put up 31 on the Bills and Mahomes only 20 if you ignore that the Bills were dominant in October and faded late.

I tend to think it’s going to be close in the 4th quarter. I don’t see the eagles nor chiefs blowing out either team. I’d be surprised (happy if it’s the eagles) if that happened.
