"Okay guys here's the plan, we're going to purposely injure their quarterback on a clean and legal play" "BREAK"!

When the lets gut 'em on defense gameplan meets the let them gut us on offense gameplan.

Shanahan was reckless and stupid with the safety of his QBs by failing to even consider the pass rush on play action. He hoped all the Eagles rushers would freeze because CMC might run for 6 yards. That was his entire gameplan against a 75 sack defense.

The 2nd injury was because none of the 49ers O-line belonged on the field against the Eagles. Suh just abused them after Reddick abused them on that flip tackle where he came up with the ball although Johnson was ruled down before the fumble.

So your coach was stupid and your players were weak. Showing up like that got those QBs hurt.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I mean you hit every player as hard as you can when you play D and always have. On the play in question it wasn't even a real hit he stripped him.

Why are you here? You got banned but still hang around with this clone account hoping someone will give you attention? How enthralling that must be.

I have been scoping for new accounts of him trying to sneak in, but have always had a suspicion that this was a clone of his.

Guys we know Spags better than anyone.  He's going to bring tons of Blitzes on Jalen and O to try and disrupt the RPO.

If you blitz an RPO, you can easily give up TDs. Because of the run-pass option, Hurts just throws into the blitz/away from the blitz depending on where they're attacking from. A run blitz is much easier on under-center runs because the back can't adjust. This is also one of the reasons SF couldn't run at all in the 2nd half.

It sounds good in theory, but Hurts has slightly reverted back to bailing immediately when he feels pressure the last couple of games.

His acceleration was crazy. He got to top speed on his first step.

His breakaway speed reminds me of Pacheco

Jalen will not bail if they blitz on an RPO, because it's an easy-read.

Jalen does bail often on straight dropbacks against the blitz, especially in empty sets. We had a lot of 3rd and 8+ vs. SF before the run game got going. Need to stay out of that vs. Spags.

Wow, now he is getting into JaMycal Hasty territory.

Seeing that he’s protecting his shoulder, he should stay in the pocket and take the hit. Got it. Makes sense.

Realist is that Hurts had a shoulder issue, did that play a part?  Maybe?  Is it healed?  Hopefully!   Next is that everyone is crying Hurts hasn't looked good in the playoffs.....in both games weather absolutely played a part, windy and rain.  Also add in, when you are running up and down the field with little to no resistance, there has been no need to pass!  Let's just see what happens in the Super Bowl before we go Hurts (you know, the guy that might win the MVP if not come in second) goes back to a QB that we have no faith in.  Jesus......

Weather is a bad excuse.

And if the shoulder is an issue, which it is still by Jalen's own admission, throw to your hot read, do not run around and risk taking hits.

He is not protecting his shoulder when he does that, he is resorting to a bed tendency.

I just saw a Stat that said the Eagles Defense has never had an Interception and only 2 Eagles WR's have caught TD's in our 3 Super Bowl games.   I think both of those things will happen in Super Bowl LVII. (Defense INT/WR TD)

Longer the Colts search goes, the more likely they're waiting for someone (Steichen).

PFF released their top defensive players of 2022

Top 10 defenders

1. Chris Jones KC 92.6
2. Myles garret CLE 92.5
3. Micah Parson 91.8
4. Dexter Lawrence NYG 91.6
5. Bobby Wagner LA 90.7
6. Nick Bosa SF 90.6
7 Aaron Donald 90.5
8 Bryce Huff. NYJ 90.4
9. Quinnen Williams/Brandon Graham/ Max crosby 90.1

Brandon freaking Graham at 34 years old coming off a torn Achilles. 11 sacks in a DE timeshare, I’d like to see him on the eagles next year

PFF is a joke.  Aaron Donald is great but was banged up a lot this year.  Lawrence missed some time too. Love BG but he is a part time player.  Sweat outperformed him.

As opposed to taking a hit out of the pocket, yes

Hurts is not winning the MVP. The race ended way back in December

They grade each play and average it out. Snap total doesn’t matter.

Do you think that list is an accurate assessment of overall play for the year?

The basic problem is that they do not publish their criteria for the grades.  It's a grade absent contextual evidence.  They also seem to judge the player vs. the actual impact the player has on the game.  For example, in 2017 they gave Von Miller the highest grade in a game against the Eagles where he had 1 sack but his team gave up 51 points and like 200 yards rushing.  It makes his grade completely meaningless.
